Bristol based artist 🐸
"Can we talk about consent" 19-21st Sept exhibition at @themaziproject
Host of @hormones4life events 🏳️‍⚧️💕

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

If anyone still has energy after The Bristol Bar Show, an artist I met today called Patterned Frog is doing another hospitality event this evening about preventing sexual harassment in hospitality workplaces inspired by her own experiences with past colleagues. There's a chance to view her exhibition and a guest speaker from ACAS is presenting. You'll get a free slice of pizza & glass of prosecco. Cocktails can also be purchased from the bar. And the paintings are of frogs!! 🐸🥂

🌞 SUMMER SOCIAL 🌞

Back to fundraising after a little break (I've been busy trying to organise an exhibition). The end of August marks two years since Charlie started taking hormones yay 🧬 in that time they've only gotten more expensive so all our party profits will be going directly towards the costs of her HRT 🥰

Our good friends @howarthlucy and @montgomeryburns.bmr have recently taken over as new managers (and only staff of) the @coachandhorses_oldmarket making it a super welcoming and cosy venue where everyone is celebrated just for being themselves. So we are also excited to spend some money at their bar, I guess 💞

I don't have an exact plan for this social yet but it will definitely feature some games and/or crafty activities but more importantly it will just be nice to spend some time with everyone 🏳️‍⚧️

It's never too early to think about Halloween...

Since Frog Theme Thirty was such a success, and a fun evening for you all, I've decided to book the same space again for another fundraiser party in October.

Halloween is on a Saturday this year, it would have been rude not to 👻✨

More details will come closer to the time, in the meantime I'm also planning an end of summer event which will take place at the Coach and Horses in Bristol (recently under new management) 🐎🐎

🐸 who can design the best frog theme cocktail 🐸

Trying to see how many local cocktail bars will want to take part in the cocktail design competition, getting the drinks menu ready for my 30th birthday 🥳

The party is going to be frog themed which is why we're looking for frog inspired cocktail recipes! It's also a fundraiser event for my best friend's HRT so any profits we make from event drinks and tickets will go towards her gender affirming care 💞

Competition deadline: midday on Wednesday 8th April

Frog party: 7-10.30pm on Saturday 11th April 🐸

To take part, just DM a frog inspired cocktail name and recipe (mocktail recipes are welcome too). Our faves will get selected to be served at the event and the winner will also get a frog themed mystery prize!

Had a very wholesome time at the social 🐸

We ended up skipping the quiz this time and played Pass the Parcel instead. Between every parcel layer we found names of pond animals and then painted what we thought they looked like, before checking our artwork against google images 😅

After a quick drinks break we also played a handmade boardgame called Go To Poundland and Get Ice-cream. I made it for a previous housemate two years ago and it was a bit of a wild ride to read through the story cards and be reminded of how the game works 😅

It was such a fun evening and I'm incredibly grateful for everyone that came, as well as all the people who have been messaging to say they're interested in future events. We've raised £37.00 from the evening which is equivalent to 14 days of hormones for Charlie 💞

🏳️‍⚧️ Ready for the quiz? 🏳️‍⚧️

Join us on wednesday 25th February at @wiperandtruebarrelstore for a night of hormone themed quiz and painting the answers 🧬🎨

We will also be bringing back the HRT-TAN handmade boardgame as well as playing some non-knowledge related painting games. And you don't have to be good at art! We're only painting on paper plates 🍽️

There will be quiz prizes though as well as a raffle where you can win some lovely prizes from local makers including handmade scrunchies by @bettys.style.stories 🥰

Beautiful beer by Wiper and True will be available from the bar and they usually have a food van outside if anyone gets hungry!

Tickets on headfirst include a pay what you can option. 18+ as we are at a brewery. There is step free access and all painting materials provided.

A snapshot of what happens when you give founders the spotlight.

Founders showing up with honesty and bold stories at the @ftfounders_ open mic night.

Each founder had five minutes to take the stage and share something that was personal to them.

Grateful for everyone that took part. See you at the next one!

Our first calendar in a while which doesn't have something on every day! But still a jampacked calendar, with Monday and Thursday both having 8 events on and with Wednesday having a whopping 9! Still plenty to get involved with before the year is up! As ever, DM us if you have an upcoming event that you'd like to be included in a future calendar!
