Today Pop got his first fly fishing lesson in the driveway, and then it was off to practice his new skills in the field! 🎣

No fishies were caught this afternoon, but we’re off to a different fishing spot tomorrow, so hopefully they’ll have better luck! 🤞🏼

The weather was perfect, and we basically had the whole park to ourselves! Mum and I sat with our feet in the river, enjoying the sun, chats, and watching the guys do their thing! 🌼

Yesterday’s off-roading adventure 🛞⛰️🌲

We drove to Marble, CO and took the 4WD road up to Crystal Mill and Crystal Falls!

The guys were in their element, and Mum and I were along for the (very bumpy) ride 😂
We were rewarded at the end with cool views, insanely good bbq brisket, and pieces of marble to take home 🤩

Fun fact: the marble that the Lincoln Memorial is made from was taken from the quarry in Marble! 🪨
Please enjoy the sights and sounds from our day! 🤪

Three months later, and we finally made it to Paul’s “birthday” Mariners game! ⚾️

Paul wife didn’t realize that when you buy tickets from Costco you have to redeem them immediately otherwise the games sell out 🫠

But it’s been so fun to look forward to, and of course it was a blast cheering on our team with our besties the Mottsssss 🫶🏼

Evening Highlights:
-The weather was absolutely stunning ☀️
-Paul got his highly requested, and highly anticipated ferry ⛴️
-The Motts are goated and brought reusable cups so we got free drinks 🥤
-Jordan caught a ✨hotdog from heaven✨ 🌭
-We got to see the extra fancy 50th season firework show 🎇

Love you, Babe! Happy belated bday baseball day! 😚

Another year, another set of our anniversary self portraits ✨

And a couple of .5s at the end, of course 😋

Time for our annual anniversary photo trip down memory lane: coming in hot with year THREE as ✨The Stroples✨

This year taught us a hard lesson that we didn’t even realized we’d been learning until two days ago: Life is not about getting on your spouse’s page, but rather, writing a new one together. 📖

It seems pretty “duh” until you actually find such a task being required of yourself. The whole “two become one” thing is quite the ordeal! And ohhh, we felt the growing pains while the Lord graciously taught us this one. But tackling life with my best friend is something I wouldn’t trade the world for. 🥹🤍

Paul, I’m so glad I get to explore the mountains and valleys of life alongside you.
It’s a grand adventure. 🏔️

Here’s to the closing of the third chapter of our story, and to the beginning of the fourth! 🥂

Notes:
1. I was today years old when I become aware of the second to last photo. I absolutely love being in a family where that’s one of the photos your mom-in-law chooses to send on your anni 😂🫶🏼
2. The last photo is a drawing that was in a card from my husband this morning. It depicts the definition of true love. 😍

Oh, and to the insurance lady who, in July of 2023, told me the honeymoon stage would be short lived: babe, you’re still wrong. I’m literally somehow more obsessed with my husband now than I was then. 😙✌🏼

We’re out at Lake Cushman for a family vacay, and Dad, Paul, and I decide to spend our afternoon hiking! 🥾

Dad crushed his longest hike yet, coming in just shy of 6 miles with 1,100 ft of elevation gain. ⛰️ #prouddaughtermoment
P decide to trail run the decent and crushed it, leaving us in the dust, and beating us to the car by 30mins lol.

The trail was full of pretty creek crossings, ferns, wildflowers, fun bridges, happy birds, and lots and LOTS of moss.

We haven’t hiked much over on this side of the state, and it’s the best exploring with my fave peeps 🫶🏼

P + R Adventure Day | May 2026

Springtime in MRNP was dreamy ✨

Rushing waterfalls from snow melt.
Wildlife out and about, excited to see the sun.
Crazy, fast moving clouds.
Rivers open for fishing.
Wildflowers beginning to bloom.
Sunshine and perfect temps.

We ditched the trail we originally were headed towards due to crowded parking, and boy…it seemed like no one realized Stevens Canyon Rd. was open because it was nice and quiet on the other side of the mountain! 🏔️
There were stunning views in every direction today. 🥹

We ended up hiking part of the Wonderland trail to Maple Falls, only to discover the bridge was completely washed out so we couldn’t get a full view 🥲
A crazy steep trek for no legit waterfall view…today the hike was for the love of the game. We went STRAIGHT down, and STRAIGHT back up. 😂

Then we headed out to Skate Creek Rd. so P could get some fishin’ in on opening day for the rivers 🎣
On our way back to the car this family asked if we wanted food, so they shared their campfire grilled carne asada, chorizo, and corn on the cob with us 😮‍💨
We hung out with them for an hour, and then headed home just as golden hour was settling in 🤩

We couldn’t have asked for a better Saturday! ☀️
I love our adventure days, babe! Can’t wait for next month’s! 🫶🏼

This month’s Adventure Day took us down to Oregon 🌲

We braved insane winds along the Columbia River Gorege and made it to Multnomah Falls…and boy did Paul capture some absolutely stunning photos 🤩

We then discovered the town of Hood River - which is SO cute and dreamy ✨✨ We definitely want to go back when we have more time to explore.

We ended the day with a trip over a super old toll bridge in the middle of nowhere, and then hit i5 to head back home with a really pretty sunset 🌅

I love life with this man! 🥹🤍

ps. @becca_eskers, the antenna cherries live on 🍒

2025 brought lots to celebrate:
-Two years of marriage
-Becoming debt free
-Paul landing the job we prayed for
-Weddings and babies expanding our extended family
-Finding a church family
-Trips and adventures
-Moving to a place that really feels like home

I’m so grateful for the graciousness of the Lord this year. Behind all of the celebration were plenty of hard days, long conversations, tears, moments of doubt, and sleepless nights.

But He is faithful ‘til the end.
All for His glory and our good.
Jesus is so kind.

Looking forward to what 2026 brings 🌱
