Two Halloweens. Two different setups. One sweet collaboration. 🎃

A look back at two workplace celebrations I helped bring to life, pairing doughnuts from @paulandjack_nc with layers of playful Halloween styling.

Glowing pumpkins, spooky trees, skeleton musicians, and cobwebs—each display had its own personality.

Every dounut pictured is their work, and bringing these displays together over the years has been a favorite collaboration.

Off the Clock: Saturday Coffee Edition ☕✨

It takes a whole lot of glitter to keep a business sparkling, and honey, glitter doesn’t run on sleep. It runs on coffee. Being the glue behind the glitter all week means Saturday is for slowing down, fluffing up, and letting somebody else make the drink for once.

So here are my top 10 favorite spots around the Triangle to sip, sparkle, and get off the clock:

🍵 Heirloom: matcha so good it gets the chef’s kiss 🤌
☕ 321 Coffee: great coffee and a big ol’ heart
🥂 PRESS: coffee, crepes AND cocktails? Darlin’, say less
🏙️ Sir Walter Coffee: downtown charm in every cup
💀 Chapel of Bones: iced coffee with a little spooky sass
🚗 Dutch Bros: the drive-thru that never lets me down
🎀 Starbucks: sometimes a girl just needs the classic
🍑 Flying Biscuit Cafe: come for the coffee, stay for the biscuit, bless it
🥐 Paul and Jack: that pastry case oughta be illegal
🌳 State Farmer’s Market Restaurant: diner coffee in a real mug, just like home

Life’s too short for bad coffee and too sweet to spend every Saturday working. The inbox will keep ‘til Monday, I promise. 😘

Now tell me where are you getting your sparkle this Saturday? Drop your spot below 👇✨

☕❤️ You asked what kind of coffee I use in my percolator, so here’s the story!

My son surprised me with a bag of whole coffee beans from a wonderful European bakery near his home. They get their coffee from Italy, and it is absolutely delicious! 🇮🇹

Since the bakery couldn’t grind the beans for me, my sweet son decided to send me a KitchenAid coffee grinder as an early Christmas gift, too! 🎄❤️

Now I’m learning the art of grinding my own beans and making the perfect pot in my percolator. There’s just something special about a fresh pot of coffee, especially when it comes with a little love from your son! 🥰☕
