Join us for the Artist Talk on Saturday, October 11 at 5:30pm for a chance to hear directly from the artist behind Lines of Inquiry.

We’ll gather, reflect, and celebrate these artists’ voices and then close the night (and Spectrum) the only way we know how: with a dance party. 🪩💃

📍1270 Spring St NW
Our last time together in this space. ❤️

Paula Reynaldi’s work unravels the quiet natural architecture of memory and form. Through her tactile explorations, lines become both structure and question mapping the subtle spaces between presence and absence.

On view now in Lines of Inquiry at Spectrum on Spring.

In every mark, there is a question. In every question, a path.
Sometimes we search for the answer before the question is asked.
Lines of Inquiry explores how the act of asking, visual, emotional or conceptual lines that follow reveal something essential about who we are and how we move through the world.
They trace memory, time, emotions, or identity, lines can divide or connect, clarify or obscure. They shape the ways we navigate and belong.
Mark Twain once said "The two most important days in your life are the day you are born and the day you find out why." This exhibition leans into the search for meaning and quiet rigor of exploration without resolution. In finding meaning and contentment in simply being.
The works follow lines that lead somewhere or nowhere but always leave behind a trace, a gesture, a pathway, a feeling.
When we follow our own tastes, obsessions, ideals, fascinations and visions there are no wrong answers, we are simply drawing closer to self.
As with all Better Ruins projects, Lines of Inquiry remains committed to accessibility and openness, welcoming viewers to engage, question and connect with art on their own terms.

Better Ruins has never been about permanence. Part of our mission is to bring new life into underutilized, empty retail spaces across Atlanta.
Yesterday we learned that the incredible space we’ve called home since June has finally found a tenant. After sitting empty since its buildout nearly six years ago, we couldn’t be happier to see it activated once again. We’re deeply grateful to Spectrum on Spring for hosting us, and we look forward to discovering the next space where we’ll build a Better Ruin. Come check it out before we depart.
