Can’t shake this. Struggling to make sense of myself and what I do in the light of the stunning ethical demands this film graces. The responsibility we have who hold a camera and press the shutter. Not quite sure what comes next now. With love and deepest thanks @tishmurthafilm @tishmurtha @paulsng1 @ohnococo_ @browneileenmurtha

TISH, the documentary about @tishmurtha, will be broadcast on Mon 01 April at 9pm on BBC Four in the UK and Ireland and then available on @bbciplayer afterwards. Directed by @paulsng1, Tish is an important film, not just from a photographer's perspective, but also one that highlights social injustice felt by those on the margins of society during the onset of Thatcherism, and the struggles of a working-class female artist who’s work was overlooked in a male-dominated industry. It's been an honour to work closely with the @tishmurtha archive for many years, and to see all the hard work of all those involved with @tishmurthafilm and for Tish’s incredible work to continue to reach and impact people across the world is incredible.
