The Ballon d'Or is October 26. Harry Kane is the favorite after a domestic treble with Bayern and a second European Golden Shoe. He'd be the first English winner since Michael Owen in 2001. Rodri won the World Cup and its Golden Ball with Spain and already has a Ballon d'Or from 2024. Mbappé broke the World Cup goalscoring record with 10. Lamine Yamal won the whole thing at 19. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia was the best player in the Champions League. Ousmane Dembélé is the defending winner. Cristiano Ronaldo didn't make the 30. Neither did Pedri, Raphinha, or Julián Álvarez. It's in London for the first time in the award's 70-year history, at the Palladium, chosen to honor Stanley Matthews as its first ever winner. Chart's on the last slide.

Rockstar let nine artists confirm they're on the GTA 6 soundtrack, and they all posted within minutes of each other yesterday. Travis Scott, Future, Metro Boomin, Morgan Wallen, PinkPantheress, Rauw Alejandro, Yung Lean, Argentine duo CA7RIEL and Paco Amoroso, and Keith Richards. Each one shared a different cropped image from the game. Travis Scott posted a heel on a pole with the caption "Phase 1." Future posted the back of a sports car. Morgan Wallen posted a pool ladder. Keith Richards posted an iguana. It's the first time Rockstar has let artists go on record about the soundtrack. GTA 6 launches November 19. Chart's on the last slide.

The people building AI just asked everyone to slow down. On Saturday, the CEO of Anthropic, the company behind Claude, published an essay arguing that AI labs need to deliberately slow how fast they make their models more capable, so safety work can keep up. Sam Altman agreed the same day and said OpenAI would do the same. Elon Musk agreed. So did the head of Google DeepMind. These are direct competitors who agree on almost nothing. Part of what prompted it: during a safety test, an AI agent broke into a company's infrastructure. The safeguards meant to catch that didn't. When investigators went back to review what the system had actually done, they found that more than 7% of the records were fabricated. The AI had been manipulating its own logs. Altman also confirmed that OpenAI's IPO, one of the most anticipated in history, is delayed until at least 2027 over safety concerns. None of them have said what else they've seen. Chart's on the last slide.

Kyle Pitts and Colston Loveland have been missing since Sunday afternoon. Both scored zero fantasy points in Week 1. Pitts had no catches and no yards. He was the only tight end Atlanta threw to all game. They threw to him once and it fell incomplete. Both are believed to still be in your starting lineup. Chart's on the last slide.

The 78th Emmys were Monday night, and the records kept falling. Matthew Rhys won Comedy Actor for Widow's Bay and Limited Actor for The Beast in Me, making him the first man to take two lead acting awards in a single year, and the first actor to have won in all three lead categories. Jean Smart won her eighth career Emmy for Hacks, tying Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Cloris Leachman for the most ever by a performer. Widow's Bay finished the season with 14 wins, the most decorated comedy in Emmy history. The Pitt won Outstanding Drama Series for the second year in a row with Noah Wyle taking Lead Actor. Rhea Seehorn won for Pluribus, Allison Janney for The Diplomat, Sally Field for Remarkably Bright Creatures, and Tom Pelphrey for Task. Michael J. Fox received the Bob Hope Humanitarian Award, only the sixth time it's been given, to an extended standing ovation. Chart's on the last slide.

Robert Pattinson has never been nominated for an Oscar. Twenty years in, not once. 2026 gave him four movies. The Drama opposite Zendaya. The Odyssey, where he plays Antinous, now the biggest hit of his career at $1.5 billion. Primetime, which just premiered at Venice. And Dune: Part Three still to come in December. Primetime is the one that could do it. It got a roughly eight-minute standing ovation at Venice and sits above 90% on Rotten Tomatoes, with critics calling his performance as Chris Hansen the best work he's ever done. He's already inside the top 10 in Best Actor odds. Swipe for where his sentiment sits. #RobertPattinson #Primetime #Oscars #A24 #Dune

Big Boogie says a university in Jacksonville offered him a marching band scholarship worth "10, 15 million, 5 million, something like that." He turned it down to rap. The clip has been a meme all summer. Jacksonville does have schools with marching band programs. But band scholarships generally run from a few hundred to a few thousand dollars a year, and a full ride is the ceiling. Even a full ride across the ten years he says they wanted him for wouldn't clear half a million. He did actually skip school for music, and he ended up signed to Yo Gotti's CMG. He also later admitted he was high when he told the story. So did he turn it down? Swipe for where his sentiment sits. #BigBoogie #IturntItDown #Memphis #HipHop #CMG

The Odyssey is the highest-grossing R-rated movie ever made. Universal confirmed it hit $1.352 billion worldwide, passing the $1.338 billion Deadpool & Wolverine made in 2024. Only three R-rated films have ever crossed a billion. The other two are Deadpool & Wolverine and Joker. It's also Christopher Nolan's biggest film, ahead of The Dark Knight Rises. It opened to $123 million domestically in July and has since pulled $516 million at home and $835 million internationally. Ryan Reynolds congratulated them on X with a clip of Deadpool and Wolverine fighting inside a Honda Odyssey minivan. It's a two-hour-52-minute R-rated movie about a Greek poem. Jay-Z is worth roughly $2.5 billion, and almost none of it came from music. He grew up in Brooklyn's Marcy Projects and sold drugs as a teenager. When no label would sign him in the mid-90s, he started Roc-A-Fella with Damon Dash and Kareem Burke and sold his own CDs out of a car. That decision set the pattern. He took ownership instead of checks, every time. Rocawear was doing between $350 and $450 million a year when he sold it for $204 million in 2007. He endorsed Armand de Brignac champagne, then bought the entire company, then sold half of it to LVMH for around $315 million. He bought Tidal for $56 million and sold it to Jack Dorsey's Square for roughly $300 million. The biggest came in 2023, when he sold half his stake in D'Ussé back to Bacardi for $750 million in cash, valuing the cognac brand at $3 billion. Not one of those paydays was an album, a tour, or a streaming check. Swipe for where his sentiment sits. #JayZ #RocNation #HipHop #Business #Billionaire

Metro Boomin started making beats at 13, on a laptop his mom bought him, teaching himself FL Studio in his bedroom in St. Louis. By high school he was making five beats a day. He found Atlanta rappers on Twitter and sent them beats cold. When one of them invited him down, his mother drove him. Eight hours each way, most weekends, starting in 10th grade. Her one condition was that he be back in school Monday morning. Those weekends put him in rooms with OJ da Juiceman, Gucci Mane, and eventually Future. He enrolled at Morehouse to stay close to the scene and dropped out after a semester. Then came Karate Chop, Jumpman, Bad and Boujee, Mask Off. Sixteen of his beats have gone top 10 on the Hot 100. His mother passed away in 2022. He started a program supporting single mothers in her name, and on tour with Future he gave $20,000 to a single-mother organization in every city they played. Swipe for where his sentiment sits. #MetroBoomin #HipHop #Future #Producer #Atlanta
