RIP our dear Nittany! Aka Buddy, Butt Butt, Bubba, Nits, Nittany George, Nitters,”The Boy”, Groundball Dog, & Nut Case.
whatever you called him, he was family and one of the best! Fulfilling every role a family dog has he nailed it. A loyalty that never faltered, he loved with his entire soul. He showed these traits early, he be fired up to see his brother and sister off to the bus then we patiently all day at the upstairs window for their triumph and return from school. If we were outside, he would tear down the driveway, barking happily after return ready to play withthem.
He exceeded every expectation, allowing no personal space he always had to be touching, sharing your food. You never ate along with him, talking in the backyard, grabbing socks, lying sideways on the bed, curling up on the couch with you and going for walks. His favorite was barking at anything new in the yard or just the wind. When he arrived at the house, he always met him with it enthusiastic bark, then quickly bringing his new friend one of his favorite toys or whatever he could fit in his mouth at that time.
You love going to work with kate curling up on her desk for long hours and supporting her all day. Sometimes I wish we could charge the company his hours. There was plenty of them. When Kate won Presidents club, he probably wondered why I went and not him after all he had put in the hours and he deserved to go.
In the field of sport, Nittany’s enthusiasm We’re chasing balls was so far off the charts. He always thought all balls were his balls. I wanted to bring him to lacrosse practice. I was afraid to because I knew he would chase every single ball and be in the middle of every drill, trying to collect all the balls from the kids. If the kids and I, we’re outside playing Nittany wanted to be the goalie, he knew where the balls where going. He was so determined to get a ball. We had a lock him inside so we can get work in but once we where done, , he always came outside tearing out to the front yard to find any ball he could put in his mouth with a low growl shaking his head like let me show you how good I am.
Gone to soon my freind, you will never be forgotten we miss you.
