@plantbasedtreaty The Plant Based treaty group has been doing amazing work with advocating to municipalities and other government bodies to make policy changes that promote Plant-Based food and educating the public on the food industry’s impact on the environment.

For a long time, my “why” was simple: grow the business, build wealth, create stability for our family. But your why can’t stop at your front door.

Fighting for a livable planet should never be political. Clean air, resilient communities, and a healthy city are things we all deserve — and things our children deserve even more.

Joining the Brampton Environmental Alliance gave us something we didn’t even realize we needed: a place to start. A voice. A community of people who are consistently doing the work — advocating, educating, collaborating, and pushing for a city that is environmentally, socially, and economically resilient. It showed us that small local actions matter.

The BEA also opened doors for Sumit and me in ways I didn’t anticipate. Through their support, we were able to secure liability coverage that allows young adults with intellectual and developmental challenges to have stable, meaningful employment delivering our local community flyers. Our flyers promote local businesses, community events, and hyperlocal real estate insights — strengthening both economic and social resilience.

I’m honoured to be MC’ing this year’s BEA AGM, where we’ll be welcoming our Mayor and local leaders, environmental advocates, the Dean of TMU School of Medicine, and exceptional professionals all working toward the same goal: a healthier future for our city.

If you’ve been waiting for a sign to get involved in something bigger than yourself — this is it. Join us tomorrow, March 2nd from 6-8:30pm at Unifor Hall, 23 Regan Road, Brampton.

Build wealth. Build success. But more importantly, give back more than you take. Leave this planet, this city, this community — better than you found it. 🌎💚
