Well, that’s a wrap!
The 2026 Junior Fall Classic is in the books! And…WOW! What a weekend!
60 kids ranging in age from 6-18 with many never playing in a tournament before!

Stephen and Brandon, founders of Fairway Forward, worked tirelessly this year to once again guarantee a completely free experience for the kids. From an incredible presenting sponsor, @mvpdiscsports , to hydration & snack sponsors to tournament support sponsors, everything came together better than imagined!

This event is an opportunity for families to bring their kids out for a weekend focused on fun, friendship and for some, competition and not have to worry about any cost associated with actually playing in a tournament!
What did all the fundraising and sponsorship provide?
Here is everything the kids received FOR FREE:
🥏disc golf bag
🥏3 discs
🥏towel & mini
🥏velcro disc golf patch
🥏Learn the Basics Clinic with MA40 World Champion & MVP sponsored Pro, Chance Stad
🥏Putting Competition (with prizing)
🥏Long Drive Competition (with prizing)
🥏 lunch both days
🥏snack and beverages both days

The smiles, energy, hype and laughter were at an all time high with sportsmanship as the highlight. Experienced players used rules violations as learning opportunities and found words of encouragement when the new players felt frustrated 😊 With so many new players and first time players, the goal is keep them playing and learning rather than adding extra strokes to their score. Definitely a positive tournament experience for everyone!

We all know an event like this doesn’t come together without volunteers. And did the KDGC Ambassadors and members ever bring it! They set up the course, did tournament central set up and take down each day, checked kids in, served lunch, spotted, did PDGA “paperwork”, ran cardboard & garbage runs, helped with the skills competition…and so much more. Thank you to all of you for giving up your weekend.

To Stephen and Brandon, thank you for trusting us with your vision and allowing us to be part of something so special! We’re already looking forward to 2027!

Dion is in a lot of pain.👇

Most people who meet him would probably never know it.

After a serious car accident in 2009,

Dion Eden was left with chronic pain and limited mobility.

Disc golf became difficult enough that he had to teach his body how to play again.

But what Dion did with that experience is pretty remarkable.

Instead, he used that experience to make disc golf more accessible for others.

And he got to work.

🥏 Founded All-Accessible Disc Golf to advocate for people with disabilities and limited mobility.

♿ Developed an accessibility rating system for disc golf courses and worked with UDisc to bring accessibility information to its platform.

🌎 Created Playing in My Shoes, which started here in BC and has now grown across Canada, reaching more than 40 locations.

⛳ Designed Pine Park in Keremeos specifically around wheelchair accessibility and has helped design other courses in BC.

🤝 Worked with Indigidisc to help bring affordable disc golf opportunities to First Nations and remote communities.

📖 Had his accessibility work featured in Disc Golfer Magazine, helping bring the conversation to a much larger audience.

And today, Dion serves as President of the BC Disc Golf Association.

That’s the Dion we get to see behind the scenes.

He’s constantly giving us his all and pushing us to be better.

But what stands out to me most is where he keeps bringing the conversation:

How can we be more selfless?

How can we help more people across BC?

All while dealing with pain that most of us never see.

There are meetings, phone calls and countless hours of work that the average disc golfer will never know happened.

But they’ll feel the impact.

You don’t have to be great today.
Just better than yesterday.

The B.C. Disc Golf Provincial Championships presented by Canadian Truck Outlet have concluded. There are a lengthy amount of thanks to give from sponsors, volunteers and the players for attending. It was an overwhelming experience to have run it but glad it happened. We had lots of extra events, some great breakfasts from the Lions Club and the Seniors Society, great trophies provided from our main sponsor, new course signage from the district of Logan Lake, volunteer gear and washrooms provided by the HVOA and many… many more improvements to the courses by our volunteers.

The town of Logan Lake got to show its stuff with fall colours, well prepped courses and a friendly community.

Thank you to our sponsors:

@bcdiscgolf

Jacks Hidden Treasure Society
Lions Club Logan Lake
Highland Valley Outdoor Association
District of Logan Lake

Lastly huge thank you to the Volunteers who made the magic happen! From day of running, over a thousand hours of course prep and extra event coordination, it really came together. We still stumbled at times but learning from it.

Thank you:
Troy & Zach
Connie & Keith
Al & Matt
Tina & Tom

For the 3rd year, the @stcatharineswomensdiscgolfclub has been part of the activities and celebration at the Queenston Neighbours Harvest Festival. This is a wonderful event highlighting the best of the Queenston neighbourhood. So many businesses, churches, and community supports come together to make a memorable day for families.

There were 3 chances to sink a putt from different distances to score some early Hallowe'en candy! We had a variety of ages try their hand at the prize and walk away smiling 🥰 Thank you to the @queenstonneighbours for allowing us to share disc golf with the community and bring awareness to Richard Pierpoint Park too.

This weekend, @chainlinkdiscgolf spent time at @mec introducing people to disc golf and sharing how the ChainLink Conservation Series connects people to nature while raising funds for local conservation. 🥏🌿

It was great to help people try something new and share a lesson that goes well beyond disc golf: keep trying and never give up!

MEC carries all the gear you need for fall disc golf and getting outside to enjoy the season.

Thanks to everyone who stopped by, and to MEC for welcoming us!

That’s a wrap on the 2026 British Columbia Women’s Series, proudly sponsored by @mvpdiscsports —and what an unforgettable season it has been. Across five events and two fundraisers, six tournament directors, two new courses, and more than 200 players—including 14 juniors—came together to celebrate women and girls in disc golf. My cup truly runneth over with gratitude for the heartfelt messages and moments shared by our players and volunteers. Together, we created something powerful, welcoming, and deeply special.

A six-month series like this is only possible because so many people choose to step forward. From the volunteers (some working behind the scenes) to our hole sponsors and generous donors, every contribution helped bring this season to life. We are deeply grateful for the communities that continue to show up, lift one another up, and make space for players to grow with confidence. Our main series sponsors this year were @mooseandtide @zenwildbotanicals @pdga_canada @bcdiscgolf @chewters @doubleram.disc @duolynxprint and @bcengraving Thank you for believing in this series and in everyone who takes part!

Thank you to @ryanpenner_realtor for sponsoring the $1,000 Ace hole. Although no aces were hit, the added incentive brought so much excitement to the event.

Thank you to @kingsmusicltd our lunch sponsor, for providing an amazing make-your-own sandwich spread that kept everyone fuelled.

Thank you to Robin Bookkeeping, our hydration and snack sponsor; those timely carbs and refreshments made a meaningful difference throughout the day.

Thank you to @specialrisk for being our after celebration sponsor.

Thank you to @rarediscgolf @coastmountaindiscdepot @maidenflightdiscdyes for vending and generously providing CTP and longest putt prizes. @raptorsknolldiscgolf and @sportsreplayca also donated some fabulous CTP prizes.

And heartfelt thanks to the fabulous Kevin at @bcengraving for the incredible care and craftsmanship behind all our bag tags, event trophies and series champion trophies. Your talent helped every player feel celebrated, supported, and inspired! Cont’d… ⬇️
