Get the hands in front to smother any chance of a rebound off the pads! Shooters love to shoot far pad on a bad angle! If we can get our hands in front of the body we can dictate where the puck will end up! 🧠🥅👍
✅ Set feet.
✅ Elbows in front of body.
✅ Track all the way in.

Goodluck to @jswayman1 for FINALLY getting the call to go join and train in Boston! Sway dealt with so much adversity but handled it like a pro everyday he came to work and put the boots on, and got a job done. Not to mention this guy would go out do his way to help out with youth hockey in anchorage on his down time! Proud of you brother! 💪🏾🥅 #AKGA #goaliecoaches #beapro #nicejersey #sike #AKgrown #boston #providence #bruins #gallos

A fun warmup drill for goalies at all ages! Two division 1 goalies competing in a mirror drill to start the day! You have to keep it light for these guys and keep them smiling coming to the rink 👊🏾🥅 #goalies #goaliecoaching #perrogie #🔥Carl #uaa #warmups #wheressteader #haveaday #akgoalies

Workin on recoveries this morning in eagle river! You can notice there are goalies of different birth years as well as skill level in this group. Even though this is not ideal as coaches we must be able to adapt and be creative!
I focused on having the younger goalies copy the older goalies as well as put it on the older goalies to give pointers to the young ones! #AKGA #goaltendingdevelopment #recoveries #akhockey #growthegame

Talking about what to do if the pass is coming from behind the goal-line to the slot. Have your back leg on the goal line so your hips are square to the threat before you push. I’m using a step rather than a shuffle so I don’t shave ice and delay the time it takes to set my feet! - Hips square to threat
- Stap don’t shuffle
- Set feet

Keeping it simple today with @brandon_perrone this drill can be done with any goalie at any level! Works on skating, stick saves, and HT! “Track in & Track out”
