On a winter evening this week at the Wythe Hotel (@wythehotel) in Brooklyn, we gathered hoteliers, founders, operators, and travel journalists not to celebrate sustainability, but to question it.

Our NYC Salon was designed as a space for something deeper. Regeneration as responsibility, not status.

Across two panels with hotels @songsaaprivateisland @herdadedacortesiahotel @antara.cruises @boardwalkhotelaruba @hamanasi_resort @chhahari.retreat supported by the @arubatourism and a curated trade matchmaking format, we explored what regeneration actually demands. Place-led thinking, long-term accountability, structural integrity, and experiences that shape behavior without preaching. What emerged was not a framework or checklist, but a shared understanding that regeneration is lived, relational, and evolving.

Most importantly, the format mattered. Journalists did not receive pitches. They had conversations. Independent hotels did not simplify their work. They shared its complexity. That is how trust is built, and how narratives shift.

If regeneration is the future of travel, then how we gather, listen, and connect must reflect that future too.

📸 It was my intention to put this out way sooner but due to the overwhelming amount of memorable & distinctly unique experiences, the historical & cultural significance of places visited, the never-ending amount of friendly people we met, the insane amount of food & wine (and then some!) consumed, the endless stunning views all up and down the coastline, countless randomly placed fire extinguishers (don’t ask), photo bomb opportunities for Thiago (the penguin), my constant fear of missing the breakfast buffets… alright getting carried away again.

🆗 Lemme just reign it in otherwise we’ll be here all day. But I do want to personally thank Ina for pressuring me into joining this trip as I was seriously on the fence about even going. Likewise to Lukša, for taking on the insurmountable task of patiently guiding this rowdy bunch of Americans all over while professionally making sure that we were taken care of each step of the way (and this includes all your friends that joined us & of course all those at Rewind Croatia we didn’t get to meet). To Corinne, Danielle, Hannah, Marcy, Nancy and Tina for putting up with the antics of the one dude and his sidekick penguin. And lastly to all those we met and failed to remember by name or include a picture of (trust me that there were many).

💯 I can honestly now say that I get why there is so much talk about Croatia even tho there is still so much more to see and experience. The tourism theme of “Full of Life” really holds true and everyone should consider adding Croatia to their bucket list immediately! But till we cross paths again (hopefully sooner than later) I hope that my “Crash Course Croatia” montage does this experience justice and bye for now from both Thiago and I! 🇭🇷
