Peace Boat sailed across the high seas from Iceland to New York City, carrying onboard conversations, experiences, and ideas nurtured during our global voyage! On October 18–19, our ship docked in Manhattan, and Peace Boat US hosted a series of onboard gatherings focused on ocean protection, climate action, peace and the arts. On October 19, Peace Boat and UPEACE NY, together with partner organizations, co-hosted the event entitled “Sailing for the SDGs”, featuring an Artist Showcase for Peace. Through contributions from speakers working in art, culture, peace, and sustainability, alongside youth-led initiatives, the gathering will explore how creative expression can inspire awareness and dialogue. Visitors also had the opportunity to view the outreach edition of the Nobel Peace Center’s exhibition, A Message to Humanity, highlighting the work of 2024 Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Nihon Hidankyo and Magnum photographer Antoine d’Agata. This event connected Peace Boat’s work for peace with the urgent need to protect our ocean and climate, creating opportunities for exchange and collaboration toward achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). @peacboatus #Sailing #NewYork #SDGs #peaceboat

Thank you to all of our partners who joined us for the 30x30 Ocean Impact Dinner onboard Peace Boat this week. During the 124th Global Voyage, Peace Boat sailed across the high seas from Iceland to New York City, carrying onboard conversations, experiences, and ideas nurtured during our global voyage! On October 18–19, our ship docked in Manhattan, and Peace Boat US hosted a series of onboard gatherings focused on ocean protection, climate action, peace and the arts. On October 18, the 30x30 Ocean Impact Dinner brought together ocean leaders, impact investors, family offices, and the Peace Boat community to explore support for ocean conservation and climate action. Against the backdrop of the UN Ocean Decade, the evening provided a space to connect ocean commitments with the partnerships and resources needed to move them forward. More to come as we head towards COP31, taking action for the SDGs and our shared ocean! #peaceboat #ocean #impact #dinner #onboard 🛳️⚓️

Keeping the Promise of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) alive. The event titled, “SDG Moment” at the United Nations Headquarters on September 18, 2026 in New York brought attention to the urgent need to accelerate progress toward the 2030 Agenda. With UN Secretary-General António Guterres in attendance, the event placed our shared future at the heart of the conversation and the importance of turning commitments into action. From tackling inequalities to protecting our planet, the SDGs call for sustained ambition and collaboration across borders. As 2030 approaches, every opportunity to build momentum matters. Peace Boat US fall interns attended the event, gaining firsthand exposure to international conversations connected to our work for peace and sustainability. 💙 Interested in learning and contributing alongside our team? >> Explore the Peace Boat US internship program: https://peaceboat-us.org/get-involved/intern-volunteer/ #PeaceBoatUS #SDGMomentum #UnitedNations #SDGs #Internship Agenda2030 YouthEngagement
