Mason had his first Trunk or Treat at school! 🎃💀🍭🍫👻

It was so fun to see all the kids in their costumes and how creative everyone was decorating their Trunks! The wind had other ideas for a paper decorations, but we made the best of it! 🤷🏻‍♀️

I do have to say - I may be a little biased but Mason and his Dad are the cutest T-Rex skeletons I’ve ever seen! 🦖❤️🦖

It’s time for the @rodsheroes Saturday Spotlight! This is Mason! His mom says-

“He is five years old and undoubtably the bravest, strongest and most joyful person I’ve ever known!

Mason has had quite the journey of Medical complexities in his short life. At birth he spent 33 days in the NICU - later to be 100% G-Tube dependent. At four months old he was diagnosed with infantile spasms, a rare form of epilepsy and then at 10 months old, diagnosed with chronic respiratory failure which continues to be our biggest challenge today!

Mason has continued to show us the true meaning of perseverance, strength, and bravery. He meets every day with a smile and the sheer determination to work hard and fight hard for everyday.

Mason really enjoys swimming in his new pool, riding his new Rifton trike and spending time outside. He LOVES all music and singing familiar songs makes him light up with joy and excitement.

He is such a bright light in our world! His smile and laugh are incredibly contagious, and his hugs and kisses can melt anyone’s heart instantly. He’s taught us to slow down and to have patience in the simplest of moments. He’s taught us that being different is not less - it’s just different and that in it of itself is just beautiful!”

This kid has the most infectious laugh and giggle. Don’t mind my annoying voice but I’ll do anything to get him to laugh. 😂❤️#masonmovesmountains #justaboyandhisball🏀

This deserves a permanent spot on Mason’s Insta page!

@mmlampo has been waiting almost 5 years to hear this. I’m so emotional posting this right now. Hearing your child say “Mama” or “Dada” is something many parents take for granted - but hearing it from your 5 year old, non-verbal child’s it’s differently - something we definitely do not take for granted!

Matt - I know this is the greatest gift. I’m so incredibly happy for you, my heart is bursting!

What an amazing experience being apart of the 2026 Capital Cup for Kids sponsored by @buildingonlove.

Mason was the honorary team captain for the Titanium Hips AND Rusty Blades teams. Unfortunately, Mason has been hospitalized @albanymed in the PICU and couldn’t attend in person but we represented for him and man did his 2 teams play hard for him!!! 🥅🏒🏆

This organization wowed me from the very start! They totally rolled out the red carpet for all of their honorary captains and didn’t disappoint. They surprised Mason with a race car pool float 🏎️, a basketball hoop for the pool 🏀, a new life vest 🛟 and a bunch of other toys. During our team picture they surprised us YET AGAIN with a 5 point harness - handicap swing for underneath our treehouse!!!! An amazing addition to. Our new backyard from @makeawishneny. WOW, talk about amazing - I’m still so overwhelmed with joy and gratitude.

Thank you Jeff Yule (and your team) from @buildingonlove and @kvent518 from @rmhccapitalregion for making the connection. You both have blessed our family in so many ways and we are so grateful our paths have crossed! Thank you @gary.fox.946954 and my family for their never wavering - overwhelming support. From the bottom of mine, @mmlampo and @mason_moves_mountains hearts - THANK YOU! ❤️💙💛

So what may seem simple to you is HUGE for us!! Clapping. Yes, CLAPPING!!

Mason has been working on this for 4 years, and yesterday he did it!! He started clapping!!! He was doing it slowly, but it was purposeful and intentional. I am obsessed with watching him unlock new skills.

Keep reaching for the stars and moving mountains, Buddy! Mommy and Daddy are so incredibly proud of you.

*please don’t mind my annoying voice and crying. It was a very emotional event!
