This is how Shino turns an independent fashion magazine into something people can actually enter not just admire from a distance.

By giving the room enough context, choosing stories he genuinely cares about, and structuring the presentation just enough to leave space for real conversation.

Swipe to see how @shinosjournal makes editorial ideas feel more inviting in the room. 👀 #TndonAparasanya

This year, Press Print Party brings together 98 exhibitors from Indonesia and abroad, representing a diverse range of publishing practices, from independent presses and collectives to writers, artists, and makers working across different forms of printed matter.

The diversity of backgrounds and practices is part of what makes the fair a space for exchange, where different ways of making, publishing, and circulating ideas can meet.

It was a great pleasure to be part of the inaugural Fashion & Market Forum organised by @frontandoffcentre @fashionandmarket @nadyawang. I learnt so much from the community of fashion academics and practitioners and walked away inspired by the depth of craft and knowledge from our region. It was especially a treat to share the panel with @faithtcooper of @asianfashionarchive to think about our research and engaging with the public.

I shared about “Minding through Matter” – how dancing has shaped my academic research in that 1. the body is a vessel for connection and memory, and 2. creative flow, innovation, and production are acts of community.

I also enjoyed the thoughtful details put into the space, with the botanical arrangement, Southeast Asian surrealist art on the walls, and the creative publications to browse and take home for more. Always a good time and can’t wait for the next 💐
