June is Men’s Mental Health Month.

As someone who battles depression and anxiety, I know firsthand how heavy life can feel. There have been days when simply getting out of bed felt like a victory. Through it all, I am incredibly grateful for the people who stood by me, listened to me, and reminded me that I didn’t have to fight my battles alone.

Today, I want to talk about something we don’t hear enough about.

We often remember the people we’ve lost, and we absolutely should. Their stories matter, and their memories deserve to be honored. But let’s also recognize the people who are still here, The ones who fought through the darkness, the ones who kept going when they wanted to give up, the ones who chose to stay and keep fighting.

The reality is heartbreaking: thousands of lives are lost to suicide every year, and millions of people silently struggle with depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, and other mental health challenges. Mental illness does not discriminate. It affects men, women, and people of all backgrounds.

To anyone carrying pain in silence: I see you. Your struggle does not make you weak. Your feelings are valid. It takes incredible strength to keep moving forward when life feels overwhelming.

If you are struggling, please reach out. Call me. Call a friend. Talk to a loved one. Speak to a counselor. Just don’t suffer in silence.

📞 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline: 988
Call or text 988 anytime, 24 hours a day.

You matter.

Your life matters.

Your story matters.

A temporary problem does not need a permanent solution.

You were never meant to carry the weight of the world alone. Feel your emotions. Acknowledge your pain. Talk about it. Healing begins when we stop pretending we’re okay and start being honest about what we’re going through.

Check on your family. Check on your friends. Check on your coworkers. Check on the people you care about.

Sometimes a simple conversation can save a life.

Keep fighting. Keep talking. Keep showing up.

The world is a better place with you in it. ❤️

If I taged you thank you for the support
I probably missed a lot of people.

WHAT CAN I EVEN SAY??!! Mama Hubbz absolutely crushed her first meet at PLU Battle of the Barbell 2 hosted by @beaststrongpowerhouse yesterday. She competed in the 60-64 Masters 110kg Division. Setting state records in both bench and deads.

She went 6 for 6 this meet as well and absolutely superseded all of my expectations. She joined beast strong 6mos ago and agreed to let me coach her for a meet 4 mos ago. She was completely unsure of herself when she started and now shes itching for the next comp.

Bench
1st 45kg/99.2lbs
2nd 52.5kg/115.7lbs
3rd 57.5kg/126.8lbs

Deadlifts
1st 90kg/198lbs
2nd 100kg/220.5lbs
3rd 107.5kg/237lb and a PR

Shoutout to our spotters and loaders keeping everyone moving and safe!!

And special shoutout to our beaststrong family for all the love, support, and encouragement along the way. Wouldn't wanna do this thing without you guys ❤️

i didn’t get any of my third attempts today, but i’m feeling real proud of myself. i included my third attempt deadlift vid even though i got two red lights cause i DID lift 303lbs off the ground and held it (even tho my lock out wasn’t right) and that’s a win for me lol
