Há um ano atrás acontecia a produção do filme Mirage, que neste ano destacou-se no Berlin Fashion Film Festival ao vencer na categoria Independent Luxury.

Filmado em película de 16mm, e com trilha sonora original, o filme traz a visão refinada do diretor Matheo Fernandes sobre as criações do estúdio, e foi um dos raros projetos independentes brasileiros a conquistar a premiação.

Mirage é um convite à contemplação: um olhar sobre peças que ganham corpo e textura despertando a curiosidade do toque. O filme revela a dimensão sensorial do design e a força do fazer manual que dá vida à matéria.

One year ago marked the production of the film Mirage, which was recognized this year at the Berlin Fashion Film Festival by winning the Independent Luxury category.

Shot on 16mm film and featuring an original soundtrack, the film presents director Matheo Fernandes's refined perspective on the studio's creations, standing out as one of the rare Brazilian independent projects to achieve this distinction.

Mirage is an invitation to contemplation: an exploration of pieces that take on physical presence and texture, evoking the tactile curiosity of the viewer. The film highlights the sensory dimension of design and the strength of artisanal craftsmanship that brings matter to life.

it was 2024. i was in my early twenties and had just wrapped a very cool film in brazil. it was a big step, and a film i’m still very proud of. back then, i took a chance and submitted it to the berlin fashion film festival. we made it to the finals, and i flew from são paulo to berlin to see our work on the big screen, meet new people, and make new friends.

a little over two years later, we’re back as winners, now with an even more special film. made the way the best things usually are: among true friends, with limited time, minimal structure, and a huge desire to get it right. a small, intimate, welcoming set. a crew held together by trust. and that rare feeling that everyone was bringing something personal into it.

that feeling now lands more than ten thousand kilometers away from where this film was made. in one of europe’s most cosmopolitan capitals. a place that understands diversity and that, to an immigrant, doesn’t intimidate.

it’s not every day you see an independent brazilian film, made from scratch, standing side by side with fashion giants like hermès, yves saint laurent, gucci, vogue, tiffany, and so many others.

i didn’t want to let this moment pass without publicly thanking the few people who walked with me: @nicholasbluff, for his generosity and care. @gabrielalencioni_, for the strength and sensitivity she brought to one of her first projects as a producer. @alice.g.eorge, for sharpening the film’s aesthetic with such precision. @arthurvillares, for being one of the most promising talents of our generation (and still showing up on set with coffee). @luquinhafilmes, for being my number one. @franziska.heinemann, for showing us the hidden value of film. @pmontagnana and @rafabapi, for the mastery and humanity they brought to this project. @hanna_moura, for all the love and support. and @tdatti and @fernanda.maleski, who turned a car into a van and drove all the way from curitiba, bringing the pieces and the kind of love i’ll never forget.

this was all handmade!
