On Tuesday, with our partners over at @chilli.app, we screened the "Pelea" teaser for the first time EVER and launched our nonprofit @peleamovement 🎉

We had an incredible lineup of panelists and speakers, and an amazing audience! We could not be more grateful for everyone who came out and we have been blown away by the reception the "Pelea" teaser has gotten so far. We are so excited for our public launch and can't wait for even more of you to see it 💚

Our goal is to use the power of animation to support real world communities who've been impacted by resource extraction, militarism and imperialism. We are so honoured to be building this with all of you ✊🏾

Still basking in @peleaanimation’s first launch event with @urbanindigenouscollective. I’m so excited to announce the studio is partnering with them again TOMORROW, SATURDAY OCTOBER 17th for the “Indigenous People’s Day Ain’t Over” immersive celebration!

Animation and still images from the @peleaanimation production will be brought to life on immersive surround screens by @splitending & @3dgabe, accompanied by DJs. There will be many performers and vendors, including jewelry from the amazing @saparawomendream.

These photos are from #climateweek where we had our first launch and public #Pelea screenings, here’s to many more!

Meet Our Artists For The Evening🎨 🪶

This Saturday, we’re transforming 20,000 square feet in Brooklyn into an immersive world of art, culture, storytelling, and community for Indigenous Peoples’ Day Ain’t Over!

We’re proud to highlight the incredible artists and creative teams bringing this experience to life through original paintings, installations, animation, extended reality (XR), and large-scale projection mapping.

Together, these artists tell the story of Indigenous People, our struggles, and triumphs. From the story of “migrants”, MMIP, the fight for climate justice, and creating an immersive experience using Unreal Engine to show what Lenapehoking looked like before colonizers arrived, there is something for everyone to connect to. This is true meeting of where traditional artistic expression with contemporary technology. And we want to make something very clear:

EVERY PIECE OF ART IN THIS EXPERIENCE IS HUMAN-MADE. NOT AI-GENERATED.

Every painting, animation, installation, and visual experience comes from the creativity, skill, imagination, and labor of real artists. At a time when artificial intelligence is increasingly being used to replace creative labor, we’re making an intentional commitment to supporting human artists, honoring their work, and ensuring that the stories of our communities are told through the people who create them.

Join us as we celebrate the artists keeping culture alive, pushing creative boundaries, and reminding the world that Indigenous creativity is not a thing of the past. It is our present and our future.

9/22/2026 CLIMATE WEEK @peleaanimation screening + @peleamovement launch ❤️‍🔥!

I am still recovering from such a busy but amazing #nyclimateweek. These photos are all from our first event on Tuesday, which was a collaboration with @chilli.app. This week I’m going to share a recap from each of the four events we organized for #climateweek.

I am so grateful for the reception the “Pelea” teaser has gotten from the first ever viewers! Our mission is to use the power of animation to support the real world fights to defend Indigenous lands and cultures from imperialist invasions. My heart has been heavy from the rise of fascism in my family’s home country of Colombia 🇨🇴, and all over Latin America. Our nations sovereignty is under attack, and Indigenous leaders are on the frontlines of the fight against the theft and extraction that comes with US imperial control.

We had a FANTASTIC time at #newyorkclimateweek! 🌎

We loved getting to see you all in person, share our teaser, introduce @peleamovement, and learn from all of you.

It was a full week of community, conversation, and commitment to fighting for our lands and cultures ✊🏽 We are honoured to have been here with incredible leaders and advocates calling for a just and equitable transition that protects the climate, safeguards biodiversity, and guarantees the rights of Indigenous Peoples, local communities, and nature.

ALWAYS YOU (2025) releases the experimental narrative short film as a technical FIRST proof of concept coming THIS FRIDAY, October 9 (5pm PST/8pm EST)

It’s been a long time and in the wake of the Cornell case, other women’s issues at stake, and MMIWG2S awareness for Sisters in Spirit Day this October 4, it’s time to move onto the next story.

This one has been gathering dust completely untouched for over a year now lol

It’s time to move forward and write the next one.

Thank you for the support of this film and thank you to those who have learned more about the cause and the creation of modern art in motion outside of typical contemporary art. I want stories and art to be accessible and have substance. The rights to this story and the visuals have been bought by myself, the director, so I look forward to blessing your eyes next year with more Indigenous stories, more narrative and more experimenting with the limits of art and technology ( anyone wanna learn to paint and design color in the negative, just dm me lol )

I recently had the pleasure of attending an event hosted by @peleaanimation! They are creating an animated film about the environmental cost of industry, and the effect on local peoples. Listening to the experiences and opinions of representatives from South American natives was very fascinating and educating!

Will we see you at NYCW? 🌎

Here are nine events our team and partners will be hosting throughout the week to share knowledge, resources, and tangible climate solutions we can all get involved with.

On Sunday, our President @vasserseydel will kick off the week on a panel discussing our digital campaigns that advocate for ecosystems and Earth defenders.

On Tuesday, September 22 at 2:30 PM ET, join us at The Bench for an event co-hosted with @rightsfornature and @chilli.app. After our event, our partners will be hosting community gatherings at the same location.

Then, on Wednesday, September 23, join @whyregenerative for its @onebillionacres Press Conference & Official Campaign Launch: at 873 Broadway at 12:00–12:45 PM ET.
