UPDATE on my week and fundraising goal for my direct mutual aid collective, Every Life Seen, which supports my friends, Mosab and Waseem and their large families in Gaza. Thank you SO much for everyone who helped us reach our goal!! 100% of the funds raised will be divided between them, for life-saving access to food, pain relief medicine, needed surgeries, and solar powered electricity. Minus the tips from the donors that goes to the @autoajrplatform folks - the live fundraising software that I was connected to by my friend @fawadkalsi the CEO from the Non-profit @pennyappealca at the @drsabreena_gs book launch earlier in the summer. Thank you all for your amazing support, generosity and kindness @zanahmad and @ebrahim.merchant !! Mr Rogers said, where there is tragedy, look for the helpers. To all who donated, shared, and helped support the Palestine Land Exercise, the folks from @streetsville4palestine and the facilitators, and the participants that day, thank you all for helping to make this happen. I will be transferring the money ASAP and stay tuned for updates of when it reaches these families and what impact this will have on their quality of life as they endure the horrific ongoing genocide in Gaza. #freepalestine #gaza #fundraising #teamwork #gratitude

🥺💔 NO CHILD SHOULD EVER HAVE TO ASK, “WILL I EAT TODAY?” Yet somewhere, an orphaned child is waiting for a meal that may never come. A child who has already lost the comfort of a parent should not also have to experience the pain of hunger. 😭 Through our Orphan Feeding Project, we are providing nourishing meals made with meat 🥩, rice 🍚, spices and other essential ingredients—bringing not only food to these children, but also smiles, love and hope. ❤️ For us, it may be one plate of food. For an orphan, it can mean everything. 🥩 Meat for nourishment. 🍚 Rice to fill their hungry stomachs. 🌿 Spices and other ingredients to prepare a warm, wholesome meal. ❤️ And your kindness to remind them that they are not forgotten. Imagine an orphan sitting down to a warm meal because you chose to care. 😭🤲 🌙 Be the reason an orphan eats a good meal today. May Allah accept every contribution, multiply your reward, bless your families and wealth, and make every meal served to an orphan a source of Sadaqah Jariyah and reward in the Hereafter. Ameen. 🤲 ❤️ DONATE • FEED AN ORPHAN • SHARE THE APPEAL A meal may last for one day, but the smile and du’a it creates can stay with you forever.
