We sent two novice teams to the beautiful campus of the University of San Francisco to participate in the St. Ignatius Dialogues hosted by USF Debate. The unique tournament format is intended to be non-dichotomous, collaborative, and involve several forms of competitive speaking. The Dialogues involve unique forms of adjudication, expert judges, study tours, service learning events, keynote addresses, and socials. This year's topics centered on Gen Z's role in cultivating hope and human dignity.

Our students excelled in the format, ranking as the top and third speakers in their division. Two debaters scored so high they were pulled out of their division, ranking 6th and 10th overall.

Congrats to both of our hardworking, talented teams:

Ben & Lainey
Nikki & Romina & Kyanna

This week, my students learned how to write Public Service Announcements (PSAs) and then presented their work. Sound effects, clever ideas, a little drama… they really brought their scripts to life!

Beyond the assignments, what I love most is getting to work with this next generation of communicators. They’re creative, curious, enthusiastic, and genuinely good at what they do. Watching their confidence grow, seeing their ideas take shape, and knowing they’ll soon be the ones shaping this industry is pretty special.

The future of PR is in good hands. And I get a front-row seat! ❤️

As we head into a new competition season, we are all still so proud of our 2026 Social Justice Debate Champions: Hanmo & Adrielle, and our Novice Finalists Emily & Evelyn.

They are all such incredible leaders, both on the debate team and as students on campus. Their leadership defines the future, and we are excited to see what this new season will bring 🧡💙🧡💙
