SIZZLING JAPANESE CURRY & PEPPER RICE 🔥🍛 📍 Pepper Lunch (Pepper Lunch Doncaster) If you’re looking for something a little different for your next meal, Pepper Lunch is all about serving your food sizzling hot so you can mix everything together right at the table. They’ve also recently launched their new Mapo Tofu range. I was originally invited in to give it a try, but as I don’t eat beef I went with a few other options from the menu instead. Items tried: 🍛 Curry Chicken Pepper Rice 🍗 Chicken Katsu Sizzling Curry 🧅 Onion Rings 🍠 Sweet Potato Fries 🍵 Matcha & Red Bean Ice Cream The Curry Chicken Pepper Rice had a really nice kick to it. Once everything was mixed together, you got the chunky chicken, tofu and onions throughout, with that signature Pepper Lunch sizzle bringing everything together. My favourite though was definitely the Chicken Katsu Sizzling Curry. The curry was rich and full of flavour, while the katsu had a nice crispy crumb that worked really well with it. This is the one I’d be coming back for! We also tried the onion rings and sweet potato fries, which were both solid sides to have alongside the mains. And to finish, the Matcha & Red Bean Ice Cream was a nice surprise — the matcha and sweetness from the red bean ice cream complemented each other really well.
