How a photoshoot became the beginning of an era for me designing for myself and 16 years later the scout became one of my best friend.
You never really know the role someone will play in your life. Sometimes the reason they find you is so much bigger than the moment that introduced you.🥹🙏🏼✨

One week after the incredible ONI Fights 5: MMA, @oni_fights , Athletes for Trauma is proud to reflect on an unforgettable evening of competition and community collaboration!

Isaiah “The Vanilla Gorilla” Ferguson made a victorious return to the cage, while Triumph Combat’s Dakota Clements won his professional debut, both by submission.

The event united Damon Bell of ONI Fights, Eddie Donaldson of TRUST Agency, Laura Sharpe of Athletes for Trauma, the Louisville Sports Commission, Mr. & Mrs. Bourbon, and the Galt House!

Sharpe and Athletes for Trauma also led a successful silent auction supporting the missions of AFT and the Louisville Sports Commission.

A night that showcased the strength of Louisville’s combat sports community and the impact of coming together for a greater purpose.

SIX PRO SHOWS. FOUR WINS. ONE OLYMPIA PODIUM. ALL IN ONE YEAR.

In 2014, Jason Poston competed six times.

Orlando Europa — 1st
Pittsburgh Pro — 2nd
Dallas Europa Super Show — 1st
New York Pro — 1st
Mr. Olympia — 3rd
Europa Phoenix — 1st

The New York result was separated by one judging point between Poston and Sadik Hadzovic.

At the Olympia, Jeremy Buendia won, Sadik finished second and Poston took third.

Then Poston returned after the Olympia and won Phoenix to finish the season with four professional victories.

Save this one for early Men’s Physique history and send it to someone who remembers this era.

I never made it to the Olympia stage. Not even IFBB pro. I was good, but I retired at just 30. So when @aaronsingerman said we had a shot to put @blackstone_labs on the @mrolympiallc building, no way I was missing it. But those billboard blocks were 100 grand!! So without hesitation I said “absolutely not!” lol Aaron kept pushing them and me though. 50, 25, I still said “no!” Then days before the show, he got it to 10! My mind was blown! I laugh to myself now because I later found out it was 12.5 take it or leave it but he knew my number and went with it. They needed artwork that day. Half joking, I said, “let’s just put ourselves on the building” We sent the @perbernalphoto suit photos we had just done for @ironmanmag and somehow they approved it. We landed in Vegas and there we were, bigger than even @philheath ! People lost their minds. Some loved it, some hated it, but international buyers wanted the guys from the building. We closed deals non stop. That weekend, we did over 300,000 in business. Still the smartest 10 grand we ever spent. Excerpt from my upcoming book.
This is just a taste of the stories. Book comes out next June. If you were out there and remember this let me know in the comments! #marketing #mrolympia #blackstonelabs olympiaweed comingsoon

Happy belated birthday @page.one From the moment I met you at the ICR HOUSE, I knew we would be friends. That night My night got cut short but once I got out of the hospital we got right back at it. To say real recognize real is an understatement.. Page I appreciate you never changing on me. Never switching up even when I was at my worst. You are with me when I’m up and when I’m down. We’ve watched children be born and we’ve watched those children become adults. I look forward to the future, knowing that you will always be there for me and mine. And I’ll always be there for you and yours. Onward and upward we go with Godspeed. God bless you, brother and have a wonderful birthday week month and year.

A preview of what the last 4 months of serious intention has brought together.
I will look very different on stage (9/2), here (Friday 8/28) I had been water and carb depleting. In order to make weight (I still have a few more pounds to go 🫣🤫)

@perbernalphoto has the most incredible way behind his camera. If you want your shots done right, go with Per! It’s not just flexing and smiling, but finding a comfortability to be yourself while being nearly naked on camera…and flexing and smiling 😆 (these are only a few of a few hundred (600+) Per sent me, I’m SURE I’ll find more to post soon.
