So grateful for all the things I got to see and feel in Munich last month ☁️

1. Selfie of me with a little bouquet. My orange sweatshirt matches the vase.
2. Field of dandelion puffs
3. An antique statue of a saint holding a tongue (I don’t know anything about the religious iconography but found this quite striking and sort of sexy)
4. My beside table with water, snacks, meds, floss, and a holographic red rose postcard
5. Delicate, interlocking leaf-like patterns on a building facade
6. The custom table cloth at Villa Stuck. This section had lace portraits of two dogs: Pips and Flox, and a lace square that says “aus liebe”
7. A delicious döner
8. Window ironwork that forms a flower stem with cascading, wavy leaves
9. A walk symbol at a stop light that was different from others showing a little guy walking instead of the usual stick figure.
10. Sculpture by Judith Hopf. A suitcase made of bricks. The top handle is clay that bears the imprints of smushing and forming by hands.
11. A thrift shop plate with an extremely vibrant photo of tomatoes printed on the plate.
12. Ei Arakawa-Nash’s Mega Please Draw Freely at Haus Der Kunst. The floor covered with tempura stick drawings by the public including a Palestinian flag, a duck, a peace sign, and the name Matteo.
13. Two church doors with fun window shapes. Each window is sort of a tall rectangle that has been pinched at the top and bottom.
14. A screen from Christine Sun Kim and Thomas Mader’s installation ABC (Always Be Communicating). It’s a pixel drawing and to me looks like layers and layers of fluffy clouds.
15. The terrace at Deborah Schamoni with golden sun and green trees.
16. My copy of Jamaica Kincaid’s book My Brother
17. A 1700s(?) mural of a snail and frog hanging out amongst thistle.
18. A blue bench photographed from a distance that says “it was hard to get here”
19. Three spaghetti ices, extra strawberry style
20. Me in my sunglasses in front of lilacs 1. Selfie of me with a little bouquet. My orange sweatshirt matches the vase.
