@nelsonmandelamarathon and the first picture sums it all up. I had fun. Now I missed my goal that I had set out to run, it doesn’t matter. I competed the marathon and I have no pain and injury free. I got to share the day with @inspirebystrides and apart from the fire burning in my feet from being stupid enough to run in new shoes it was so dam good. I am not naive to how much work I need to put in now and I’m so keen and excited to give it hell. There are so many more positives to take out of this than negatives. And that’s all that matters!!!!!!! Asaaaambe hold my Cortado it’s time to work and have even more fun!

I stole these 3 rules from the most disciplined person I’ve ever trained with 👇

Rule 1: Discipline isn’t motivation. Motivation left after week two, what’s left is the decision you made before you felt like it.

Rule 2: You don’t rise to the occasion, you fall to your training. Race day doesn’t make you tough. The 5am sessions nobody saw already did.

Rule 3 (the one nobody talks about): Recovery IS the discipline, not the reward for it. Skipping it isn’t tough, it’s borrowing fatigue from next week.

Which one are you missing? 👇

Full-time triathlete. Full-time grind. No off days on the mindset.

Started the morning in the Hot pain cave.

Did 1h25 high power with low cadence intervals. My legs felt like a solid rock after this session.

1hr after the bike session went for a 1h16 speed session of 800m intervals at a crazy pace with @pero_n10 and it was so hot 🥵.

Cooked now 💀 ready to get the rest of the day in a calm mode.

What a way to start and end the morning

The @iqembucyclechallenge 60KM of Grit, Numbers & Teamwork.

THE START
Wet weather. Tough numbers. Big assignment.
We knew from the start this wasn’t going to be an easy 60KM. The biggest challenge wasn’t just the legs—it was controlling the nerves, sticking to the numbers and keeping the six of us together. We knew exactly what we had to do.

THE FINISH
Assignment done. Target achieved.
Six boys. One finish line. One big high-five. We executed the plan, hit the target and delivered when it mattered. Outstanding ride from the entire crew. And judging by those smiles… they’re already ready for the next one.

THE PODIUM
And just like that… we did it. 🏆
Target achieved. Mission accomplished.
Winner winner, chicken dinner.
Next assignment loading… 🔥

A BIG THANK YOU.

A massive thank you to the race organisers and the sponsors who made today possible.

You give us something to chase, goals to set and a reason to keep pushing.

This is how we keep the sport alive. 🚴‍♂️🔥
@glen_gore @woa_group_

TO OUR TEAM — MASSIVE WELL DONE!

It definitely wasn’t easy, but the boys worked together, trusted the plan and got the job done.

A well-deserved win. Outstanding teamwork.

Another triathlon race in the bag 🏊‍♀️ 🚴‍♀️ 🏃‍♂️ @tinman_triseries
The swim got cut short because the water was super cold but we move 😅🤣.

The bike and run got interesting after that but overall, I’m happy with today’s performance 🙏🏽

Back to training and making so more improvements
