The accountant has finished counting, and needs a little lie down 🤪 Together, you raised $11,722 for Telethon. ELEVEN THOUSAND, SEVEN HUNDRED AND TWENTY-TWO DOLLARS!!!!!!! From raffle tickets to sausages, donations to little hands making a big difference, look what you bloody legends did 🥹 AND, your event tickets also raised $873 for Healthy Strides Foundation, chosen by Winnie’s mum, Barbara 💚 That’s $12,595 raised altogether in honour of Winnie 💚 To every small business that donated a prize, shared their time or brought something special to the day: thank you. We know how much goes into running your own business, and your generosity has been enormous 💚✨ To everyone who helped behind the scenes, and every person who bought a ticket, donated, shared our slightly unhinged raffle reels or came along to play, this total belongs to you too 🎉🎉🎉 A whole lot of mess. 💛 When a community comes together for something truly special… ✨ This morning, little man and I enjoyed some precious one-on-one time at Wild for Winnie! 🐦🦖🌿 Hosted by Eve @mud_buddies_perth , this beautiful sensory play event was held in honour of a very special little boy, Winnie 💛 With all ticket proceeds supporting the Healthy Strides Foundation and raffle sales going directly to @telethon7 , it was a morning filled with fun, love and community spirit! 🫶 The theme? All things Winnie! Djidi Djidis (Willy Wagtails), dinosaurs, nature and lots of sensory fun! 🐦🦖 We spent the morning making potions 🧪, spotting Djidi Djidis, painting 🎨, playing drums 🥁 and exploring all the fun activities! 🎟️ There's still time to support this wonderful cause! Raffle tickets close 18th October, with prizes drawn 19th October! There are some incredible prizes to win - if you've seen @perth.dadventures stories, you've probably seen the incredible prizes generously donated by local businesses! 🎁 Community, kindness and a whole lot of love for Winnie. 💛 What a beautiful way to honour such a special little boy. For Winnie and all the babies lost, fighting and living with childhood illness. Being apart of charity events are a true blessing. What a privilege to have my health, a supportive family and beautiful business friends to join me on this wonderful morning of play. 🌿✨ PETAL & PLAY LEARNING ✨🌿 We joined @petalandplay.learning for their beautiful END OF TERM session, and there was so much for the little ones to explore! 🥰 The morning was filled with nature-inspired, child-led play including: 🪶 Bird-inspired discoveries 🧺 Building, weaving & creating 🐛 Wriggly investigations 🌿 Forest floor potions & nature treasures 🏡 Small-world habitats & hidden homes 🎨 Collaborative art 🫧 Sensory play & bubbles The kids were free to move between each invitation, follow their own interests and explore at their own pace, exactly how play should be. 💚 We even stopped to share some fruit and crackers together while listening to a story before heading back to explore some more. 🍎📚 This session marked the end of Term 3 and Petal & Play’s time at Kulungah-Myah Community Centre. 🌿 TERM 4 🌿 @petalandplaylearning will be returning to their original home at Bibra Lake Reserve, with sessions back on FRIDAYS! Petal and Play Learning, Kardinya Last week we headed SOR for a beautiful morning of sensory play with Petal and Play Learning 🌿✨ And what a calm and relaxing way to start our day! I honestly left feeling recharged 🥰 I’ve been wanting to come down for a while, but with work days we just haven’t been able to make it happen… until mat leave! 🙌🏼 Little man wasted no time exploring all the different stations. His favourites were pouring water for the boats to “swim” in 🚤💦, making potions 🧪✨, pushing everything down the bamboo rafts and, of course, making his magic wand! 🪄 One thing I especially loved was that about halfway through the session, everyone was invited to sit down together, have a snack and listen to a story read by Cass. 📖🍎 No pressure, just if they wanted too - they ALL joined her on the mat. It felt like a little moment - a chance for Cass to connect even more with the littles who fill her sessions and for everyone to come together. Often at sensory play sessions everyone is so busy moving from one station to the next, so it was lovely to slow down and share a moment altogether. Cass also brought out her stick insects! 🌿 While little man wasn’t too keen on holding one… I definitely was! 😂 They were so delicate and light, and it was something I’d never experienced before. Her sessions are running out of Kulungah Myah Community Centre in Kardinya for the remainder of this term, before moving to Bibra Lake for Term 4. 📍 And it’s not just nature and sensory-based sessions! Cass also offers home-schooling and primary sessions, as well as incursions and events. 🌱🔬 Teacher and scientist designed, but play-based and child-led - what a combo! 🙌🏼✨ We had such a wonderful morning here. Honestly my favourite way to spend the morning ☺️ Enjoying nature, peace & quiet, adult conversation & a hot coffee 👌🏼 My littlest one was completely immersed last Wednesday for the full hour and a half session. It felt like I had a babysitter 😅 Cassie’s sessions are well thought out & beautiful ☺️ She’s got 2 more Wednesday sessions left for the term, so if Wednesday works for you ~ I definitely recommend booking in before she goes back to Fridays! @petalandplay.learning is in Kardinya, see her page for tickets and more info 💌 KINDLY INVITED MYSELF 😅 - - - - Nature play | Perth Toddlers | Perth Kids | Perth Mums | Perth Parents | Perth Family | Perth Dads | Perth Sensory Play |
