Pete Hind-Fletcher and fellow artist Annie Leach will be talking about their work at a meet-the-artist event tonight. They will be answering questions, sharing their ideas and giving a screen presentation at the gala night for their joint exhibition Leaves & Shadows at Surbiton’s cornerHOUSE arts centre. Pete's colourful, vibrant paintings of a stylistic natural world have a dream-like quality. They emerge from memories - often with a darker, atmospheric undertow. Annie`s work explores the patterns and shadows created by flowers and leaves. She paints in acrylics on canvas, often on a large scale. Meet the Artist runs from 7-9pm. Admission free. Complimentary drink until 8pm. Leaves & Shadows runs at the arts centre in Douglas Road, Surbiton, until June 2. @pete.hf @anniejleach @kingston.arts #oilpainting #art #artistsofinstagram #exhibition #localartists #kingstonuponthames #watercolour #surbiton #longditton #tolworth #berrylands #thecornerhousesurbiton #cornerhousetheatre #acrylicsoncanvas #canvas #thegoodlifesurbiton #kingstonarts #kingston
