This was a very special photoshoot for many reasons, but mainly because I got to honor a dear friend who left us far too soon. I remember when Sherry and I met for coffee to talk all about her new business opportunity. I was so excited for her and offered any support I could. She thrived and grew @goodvibes_rva to a community of many! Her loved ones and friends are doing an amazing job of continuing her legacy and dream and I am honored that I had the opportunity to capture the brand and honor Sherry. We are a few weeks out from @barfightsfc and this quote came to mind as we finish up our training camp and get the minds right for battle. This was a long training camp due to situations outside our control and these guys stayed the course like true warriors. Couldn’t be more proud and I know all the hard work is going to show on fight night. You guys deserve to@enjoy every moment when the lights are on and the cage door locks. Gods speed!

In the midst of everything going on in our lives, we lose track of what really matters. We get caught up with work, sports, self goals, etc. Meanwhile, our true joy in life comes from our Lord and Savior, and knowing that our family and friends around us are the most important here on earth. Life is a very precious thing that we all take for granted, until it hits close to home. I am truly blessed to have such an amazing family and friends around me. Every year that only seems to grow more and more. To Pete, Sherry, Logan, and Chase, from my family to yours, we will forever be grateful for the relationship our families have built together. Congrats to my boy Pete on earning his Black Belt! It has been a blast training with you all these years! I’m so grateful David Womack and Rick McCoy (RVA MMA & BJJ OG’s) who created environments that welcomed me Pete and Randy way back in the early 2000’s when nobody knew what the hell Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu was.
