He Delights To Hear From Us

Elder Peter Swift faithfully reminded us through Psalm 4 that the Christian’s confidence is not rooted in present circumstances, but in the finished work and certain victory of God.

2025 was bittersweet. I tried to write something profound to summarize it but it feels too big a task (my journal will be hearing from me later).

So, misc thankfuls instead: family and adopted family, God’s patience and care over every detail, road trips, music, timely words, Rusty, phone calls, sunrises and sets, new pens, hugs, warmth, chocolate, girls nights, church, debrief walks,…

Q: Why do we corporately confess together?

A: “There is nothing God wants to hear from us more than our confession of our failures to Him and our need of Him for us and His grace. Confession is not about rejection, shame, and guilt. Confession is about restoring unity and a relationship with a holy and loving God. He is begging and commanding us to come to Him.” - @peter.swift

2024 was the year I made my first queen sized Quilt.

I felt so honored when this friend from our church asked me if I could do this for her husband! I absolutely love doing projects that have meaning to them, projects that they'll cherish forever! That's where I thrive.

This Quilt is a Queen-sized Tshirt Quilt. They had all the Shirts from years and years of working at the camp (@campsusque). There were more that I just didn't have room to fit in the quilt! Once the shirts were all in place and sewn together, I then hand-quilted the lines on all the empty spaces between the shirts.
I loved having friends come over to have work days where I quilted, they did laptop work or crafting stuff themselves, and we watched TV shows together. It was the best and what helped me stay on top of things!!

If you or someone you know is looking for a quilt or project like this, send them my way! I may not be able to accept everyone right away because I want to work on each project on their own; not only to give it my full attention, but also so I don't overwhelm my myself with too much, haha.
