This has been the hardest accomplishment of my life.

Ever since placing 4th at this show two years ago, I’ve had tunnel vision. I pushed my mind and body to limits I never knew I had, and I had to make countless sacrifices to stay on track. There were setbacks that could have easily derailed everything (being hospitalized with mono, recovering from a tonsillectomy, and learning how to adapt when things didn’t go according to plan) Every obstacle became another reason to keep moving forward.

Through it all, I’ve become a stronger, more disciplined, and more adaptable person. Bodybuilding has taught me that success comes from showing up every single day, especially when you don’t feel like it. That mindset has carried over into every other aspect of my life, pushing me to work harder, stay more focused, and hold myself to a higher standard in everything I do.

Whether you have a coach or not, bodybuilding isn’t a team sport. At the end of the day, you’re fighting the person in the mirror every step of the way. I’m grateful for everyone who supported me throughout this journey, especially @austinsmithonic, who has been the best coach I could have asked for. I’m proud of the person this sport has helped me become, and I'm so excited to see where I go from here.

So proud of our whole throws squad, and these three worked so hard to make it to Division 2 State meet. Peter started throwing late as a Junior and improved 12 feet in the shot in just one year, and Caroline qualified in all 3 throwing events, and made the finals in the javelin. And then there is Emmy Raines. I have seen her battle all season in the javelin, and always seems to come up big on her last throw. I’m looking forward to seeing her battle it out again this next week at the big State meet. I have a feeling she will come up big. For the rest of our underclassmen, they are chomping at the bit to start working for next year.

He's on the throwing field during the day, but come Friday Night Lights, you'll find him on the football field with the marching band- it's Peter Cipra!

Pete's all about shotput and discus; he's got clean throws, a calm attitude, and just enough power to make it far.

An Interesting Fact about Peter: He is a section leader/assistant drum major in the marching band!

Advice to Future Athletes: Try every event, you'll never know what works for you until you try!

Kind of a rough day for the Wolfpack Throwers. With 3 meets in a week, one being in almost the triple digits, the energy understandably wasn’t there. Had some highlights. Logan Langdon threw 3 PRs in the Javelin to end up with the Gold. Emmy Raines refused to quit, even though things were just not going her way in the Jav. She popped out a typical Emmy throw on her last attempt to capture the Gold. Peter Cipra claimed the Silver in the shot. He is on the brink of a huge PR. Freshman Caroline Workman claimed 3rd place in the shot 1 inch off her PR which is #2 in school history. We’re gonna put it all together when it counts. It’s there. #visionquest

A year ago this week, Peter started his throwing career here at Desert Mountain High School. No one works harder than Peter. I have to hold him back in his lifting. It’s all coming together now and he finally was consistent in getting lift last night. We still have a lot to nail down in his technique, but it has improved tons.

Theodore Abraham Cipra. This week Teddy was recognized for exhibiting a core tenant at his school. Kindness. One of his teachers wrote “Teddy has a kind heart and a caring attitude. Teddy always has a smile on his face which brightens my day and makes me smile.” It fills my heart with endless joy knowing someone sees him in this world the way I do. Theodore thank you for being a true gift from God. You make everyday of my life richer with LOVE, brilliant insights, and true deep guttural laughter 🙏🙏🙏 I LOVE you to the moon and back 😘😘😘
