YOU WERE IMAGINED AT THIS TABLE.
Separate histories, lives and stories share a table on a beautifully vulnerable night of wonder, music, food, meaningful conversation and whimsy. @afrika.housekenya navigated by @peterhac

One week from today, I’ll gather 22 people across generations, cultures, and creative worlds for an intimate Ecotone Salon Dinner as apart of a residency at Afrika House in Nairobi.

Inspired by Muyaka Shitanda’s exhibition @_shitanda_ curated by @azzasatti and @prithika.mohan , The Singer and the Red Rose, we’ll take art off the walls and bring its questions to the table.

Through food, music, and three movements of conversation, we’ll explore the stories we perform, the ancestors who witness us, and who we choose to become when the applause fades.

Not simply a dinner. A living work of art made of the people gathered around it.

SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 1 | 5–9 PM
Dinner served at 6:30 PM
📍 Holmes à Court Gallery, Afrika House
20 Twiga Hill Road, Hardy, Karen, Nairobi

22 seats | KES 8,500 per person
Includes a full culinary experience, wine, and music.

Limited overnight accommodation packages with breakfast are also available.

RSVP by October 25: https://luma.com/xopvabne

Interviewing an artist who lets his work do the talking. Turns out, Shitanda’s (@_shitanda_) art had even more to say ☺️.

His solo exhibition is still on at The Holmes à Court Gallery at Afrika House until 31 October 2026. Consider this your sign to come see what he’s been up to.

Viewing is by appointment only. RSVP via art@afrika.house.
