THE MASK SLIPS PRETTY QUICKLY, DOESN’T IT? 🎭

First, they’re friendly. Polite. Charming. They act as if they genuinely want to connect with you.

Then comes the request: “Give me your phone number.”

You refuse to play along, and suddenly the charm disappears. The friendly conversation turns rude, the attitude changes, and the real personality starts showing.

Funny how quickly that happens when you don’t do what they want. 😂

A genuine person respects your boundaries. A manipulator gets angry when you have them.

And remember: you don’t owe a stranger your phone number, your trust, or your time.

🔊 We share a lot of Stories about Ugandan scammers who are to be reported across social media platforms & on SMACC — fake rescues who mutilate cats & dogs to collect donations.

💸 Despite the enacted animal welfare law, corruption in Uganda allows these scammers to operate with impunity. The law is not enforced — animal suffering grows exponentially.

🔎 To understand the tactics these scammers use & based upon what evidence they are exposed, follow @wewontbescammed, @peti.leni & @stopfakerescues

🎞️ I strongly advise you to also watch BBC documentary „The Dog Scamming Kingpins“:

You will find more actions — 1-Click email to Ugandan embassies, petitions, &c. — in @peti.leni‘s Story Highlight „My link.tree“.

✅ Last but not least: it goes without saying that there are genuine rescues & volunteers in Uganda, and one of them is @wwbsadoptions. They rescue cats & dogs from sham shelters & do their utmost to give these survivors a second chance at life.

🐾 THEY’VE BEEN RESCUED. NOW THEY NEED A HOME. ❤️

These dogs and cats have already survived neglect and fake shelters. They were rescued, treated, and given a second chance.

But they’re still waiting for something they’ve never truly had: a safe place to call home.

Right now, they’re split between three locations. We’ve found a property where they could finally be together — with a house, safe outdoor space, and room to recover, play and simply be animals.

🏡 We need $2.500 to secure the property.

$5, $10, £10 — every donation brings us closer.

And if you can’t donate, please share. One share could reach the person who can help make this their forever home. ❤️

Help us bring them home. 🐾

💔 Severe cat & dog abuse in Uganda for profit: scammers who torture animals for donations, posing as rescues.

📧 Send an email by @wewontbescammed to Ugandan authorities to demand an investigation: link in my Story Highlight „Uganda“.

‼️Be vigilant — not everyone who poses as a volunteer, shelter or rescue is genuine.

🙏Do not donate to scammers & fake rescues.

📢📢📢😡😡😡Two years after the introduction of Turkey's controversial stray animal law, the situation is escalating once again.
According to Turkish official Mustafa Çiftçi, more than 92% of stray dogs have already been rounded up.
Now, private shelters—the animals' last safe havens—are also coming under scrutiny by the authorities.
They are facing strict inspections, dogs are being confiscated, and animal welfare advocates are being subjected to immense pressure.
One of our partner organizations in Istanbul was forced to undergo rigorous on-site inspections over a period of five days. Ultimately, the authorities seized around 350 dogs, citing alleged irregularities in the animals' registration.
No one knows where these dogs were taken, what condition they are in, or whether they will ever escape the clutches of the authorities.
Numerous shelters across Turkey now face a similar fate...😡😡😡📢📢📢

❤️🐾 WE WON’T BE SCAMMED — BUT WE WON’T TURN OUR BACKS ON ANIMALS EITHER. 🐾❤️

We bought dog bowls. We bought food. And we have the photos of the dogs we’ve helped. Because when animals are starving, we want to act — not just talk. 🥺🐕

We are not anti-Uganda. We are not against Ugandan people. And we are not prejudiced. 🇺🇬❤️
We have always believed that there are kind, genuine people in Uganda who truly want to help animals — and we are happy to support them.

But we also believe that trust must be earned and help must be accountable.
We ask for proof because our followers work hard for their money, and every donation matters. 🙏

And here is something incredibly important:

Our followers’ support can do so much more than help the animals already in our care. ❤️

It can mean food for a starving dog. 🍲🐕
It can mean bowls filled with clean water. 💧
It can mean a neglected animal finally receiving care. 🥹
And yes — it can even mean helping genuine people and animals in places where we have seen questionable shelters or situations before.

We don’t want to punish animals because of the actions of humans. Every dog deserves a chance. Every animal deserves compassion. 🐾❤️

That is why we will continue to ask questions.
We will continue to ask for proof.
And when people genuinely show us that they are helping animals, we will stand beside them. 🤝🐾

To everyone who follows, donates, shares and supports us:
please never underestimate what your help can accomplish. 🙏❤️

Together, we can make sure your kindness reaches the animals who need it most — not just today, but wherever genuine help is needed. 🐕🐈🐾

WeWon’tBeScammed. But we also won’t stop fighting for animals. ❤️

Our team firmly believes everyone should live and how they want to live, but we do not like scammers exploiting this.

How many flags? The transgender flag does not exist in Suban. Why is it posted? That is a warning sign. Do you think he is just playing a part to steal money? Ask yourself!

I am sceptical now. Shocked they don’t have a wheelchair, a walking stick and saying they are vegan. Scammers exploit any cause and lie to steal money.

I have done this for far too long. I know their tricks.

All we want is for people to think and ask questions. Don’t forget though “please keep donating” 🚩

I have witnessed and heard of the most extreme animal abuse over the last six years. Burns. Mutilations. Violations. Live operations. Hangings. Beatings. Some videos I have, I will never share, as they are so distressing. Years on, I still cannot get them out of my mind.

Ugandan scammers are evil. All they care about is money. Please think!! Why would young men in a poor area of Uganda, suddenly all become concerned with animal welfare at the same time there is an explosion of wealth in the area? These same men are responsible for vile acts against women there.

Do not be fooled. Abusers manipulate. Abusers lie. Don’t let your kindness be used for bad!

This is an old account, but the old posts still hurt me. The suffering has been allowed to continue. We can stop this‼️

@mubiru_dog_shelter (view with caution)
