Katie Kai and The Fireflies - a musical journey from golden hour into night, exploring ways that light shows up in nature and ourselves. And a reminder that when it’s dark, even a little light will glow. ✨ Such a dreamy weekend run with sold out shows at @filamentplays ! So grateful for the team that made it happen, especially to our incredible director + puppet designer @ellie_levine and producer @krissiannstagram . Even before having a set, we brought children to the theatre to develop “Katie Kai and The Fireflies” (debuting this weekend!) We wanted to learn from how they connected with the scenes and puppets. That space together was so helpful. Thank you to the families who joined us! And a massive thank you to our puppet designer (and director!) @ellie_levine for these incredible creations. I can’t wait for y’all to experience them this weekend. ✨ -Saturday Oct 17 at 10am & 4pm -Sunday Oct 18 at 10am 📍Filament Theatre in Chicago 🎟️ Tickets in profile: @katiekaisings Katie Kai is reaching up while a white canopy with green scarves is above her, held up by Tina and Michael-Forest. An audience of children and adults reach up as well.

There’s a whole team working to bring this show to life! So grateful for everyone who has jumped right in to help make “Katie Kai and The Fireflies” - a new mini musical in development. The show is a theatrical concert/gentle musical for young children and their caregivers, set during golden hour in the woods. Through original songs, puppets, imaginative play, and a few forest friends, we explore the wonder of light and where to find it when things feel dark. 💛✨ October 17 - 10am & 4pm October 18 - 10am 📍Location: @filamentplays in Chicago 🎟️ Tickets in profile: @katiekaisings Katie Kai - Creator / Performer Ellie Levine - Director / Puppet Designer Krissi Ann McEachern - Producer Brandon Acosta - Performer Tina Muñoz Pandya - Performer Michael-Forest Walden - Performer Seojung Jang - Lighting Designer Mariah Bennett - Environment Designer Sam Shankman - Sound Designer Can’t wait!
