New addition! Anyone knows more about these rather beautiful and unique burgundy Breitling Colt dials?? Not much to find online about them. Dial states “serie speciale” but no such writing on the caseback…..This dial can be found in automatic Colt A17035 but also the quartz variant.(There was a limited burgundy Aerospace issued from Dubai in the past) #breitlingheritage #breitlingcolt #A17035 #ernestschneider #BreitlingBurgundy #Breitlingseriespeciale #reddialwatches #breitlingnineties #breitlingowners1884

Philosopher’s (single hand) watches create a different relationship to time, freed from haste to focus on the moment.

It is one of the easiest way to read the time… but it can feel a bit unusual at first… so here is a quick guide to answer a frequent question: « how to read the time with a Mermont?

1) Don’t believe that there is no minute hand. There is a big one, it just happens to be the same as the hour hand.

2) Simply use the minute track, each segment indicates 10 minutes. Reading accuracy is +/- a few minutes per hour, but if you’re wearing a beautiful platinum watch does time really matter?

=> Read « digitally »: the numeral on the left of the hand indicates the hour, the number of segments after this numeral indicate the minutes by increments of 10
(« 2 » + 2 segments = 2h20)

This one is from a fellow Breitling watch fanatic! Limited to just 100 pieces makes it even more rare then the illustrious and much sought-after yellow dialed Aerospace honoring the Brazalian based Smoke Squadron! This chronomat feautures a white dial, satin case finish and deconstructed hour markers, almost never seen on these older chronomats. It was released in 2001 and obviously is covered in the latest Chronomat story book, the absolute must-have for any Breitling fan just like us. Would you prefer the chronomat or the yellow Aerospace if you are looking for a Smoke squadron patchdial? #Breitlingchronomat #breitlingnineties #breitlingheritage #breitlingowners1884 #esquadrilhadafumaca #smokesquadron #breitlingpatchdials
