5 Benefits of Yoga you may not have known 🧘

Have you recently started practicing yoga? How has it made you feel?

If like me you love yoga in all it’s forms why not join @violetstopfordyoga and I for our yoga retreat from the 9-14th May.

We will be hosting two yoga sessions every day - an active Hatha Vinyasa morning session followed by a more restorative and meditative evening practice incorporating Kundalini and Restorative Yoga as well as Yoga
Nidra.

One to one sessions will also be available.

A range of body treatments including massages can be arranged by appointment.

We will prepare delicious food
to promote optimum gut health. The menu will be mainly gluten free and focus on fresh local fruit and vegetables.

If that sounds like you or anyone you may know that needs a bit of R&R then get in touch.

Life is a journey, often a roller coaster. Sometimes when life presents us with challenges, it is difficult to work out which way to turn, let alone see any light at the end of the tunnel.

Perhaps life feels tough for you, even overwhelming? Maybe it is time to ask for help. This is often the most courageous step you can take. Embarking on the journey of therapy is often both rewarding and challenging at the same time.

I am a psychodynamic psychotherapist offering private therapy either online and, in due course, in-person to adults on either a short or long-term basis.

I provide a confidential space where you will feel safe to voice your thoughts and concerns. Together we can explore if there are areas in your life you are looking to reshape or change.

Psychodynamic psychotherapy can help reveal the conscious and unconscious processes at play which shape your life and relationships. We will explore how certain choices, past and present, may have shaped your journey to date and where past experiences may have kept you tethered. It provides an opportunity to help make sense of current experiences, face some complicated feelings and thoughts, feel less overwhelmed by any worries and fears, and make choices and decisions. You may need a few sessions to think about what is going on with you or a longer time to be in therapy in order to explore present and past experiences.

Please feel free to get in touch.

Easter weekend will see the biggest and brightest full moon of 2022 so far, peaking at 7:55pm tomorrow evening BST.

April’s full moon is traditionally known as the Pink Moon or Budding Moon, as it coincides with the flowering of a type of moss called Phlox Subulata also known as Creeping Phlox.

So whatever your plans are for this #Bankholidayweekend be sure to head outside and look for the moon. Set your intentions and allow yourself time to move forward and live fully in the present moment. 🌝 🌸 🙏

Hello! This is me, Philippa…

✨ It’s been a while since I introduced myself, so since we have some new followers - ( Thanks for your support!) I thought it was time…

✨I am a psychodynamic psychotherapist, with a post-graduate diploma in Psychodynamic psychotherapy from WPF Therapy. I have a particular interest in the work of CG Jung.

✨I have worked primarily with those experiencing anxiety and depression, grief and loss, stress, recovery from trauma and addiction.

✨I have a foundation course in couples counselling at Tavistock Relationships.

✨Following a long career in the design world and having run my own business, I am aware of work demands and how this can affect other areas of our lives. It can lead to difficulty in achieving work/home/life balance, resulting in challenges in our relationships.

✨I am naturally an inquisitive and curious person, both personally and professionally. I regularly attend seminars, conferences to share and receive learning from my colleagues in both therapeutic and academic communities.

🧘‍♀️I am a fully qualified Yoga Teacher registered with Yoga Alliance. Having completed my Hatha teacher training in 2012 and my Level 1 Kundalini Yoga teacher training in 2019, I am a firm believer in the link between mind and body.
