@philippechownyc is an iconic elevated Bejing-style restaurant. This restaurant never gets old and is truly one of the best. They give a modern twist to authentic Chinese food. It’s an expensive meal with a nice atmosphere, but I don’t love the vibe, however the food does makes up for it. If you’ve never been here you’re missing out!!!!!

1. Chicken satay - known for this dish and it doesn’t disappoint, I could drink the satay sauce it’s so good
2. Cripsy seaweed - my other favorite dish, fried, sweet seaweed with caramelized pecans, truly nothing better
3. Pork soup dumplings - outstanding, we always get these
4. Honey glazed spare ribs - tasty but nothing special
5. Spicy tuna crispy rice - decent but probably wouldn’t get it again, rather more of the other dishes
6. Bejing chicken - sweet, spicy, & special, not too heavy and delicious Green prawns - love this dish, so unique, & has a hint of spice, love the flavor with the crunch of the water chestnuts
Chicken fried rice - our go-to always, the perfect side to all of the other flavorful dishes
7. Crispy duck - fried, not a portion but soooooo good, love how it comes with moo shu wraps & sprouts
8. Chilean sea bass - light, thin, sauce is amazing
9. Wok seared branzino - plain but cooked to perfection & love the eggplant underneath
10. Vegetable lo mein - very good but would prefer the fried rice over this
11. Cotton candy baked Alaska - super unique, definitely more for the presentation, the cotton candy melts around a dessert that reminds me of a tartufo

FOODIE ALERT: I will travel throughout NYC for a good meal or bakery from Greenpoint to Chinatown to Harlem. I must say the neighborhood by my listing at Carlton House at 61 & Madison and my office has so many amazing dining choices.
