Out of the Fireplace.
.
Had a great time trying to set this one up. All shot in a single exposure with a tripod and lens swap using a 17mm tokina for the fireplace and a 24mm olympus both adapted for the Sony A7iii.

The Wendy House.
.
A permitted visit to this folly built by the land owners, unsure of the date. A relaxing night out with Phill and parked right at the spot so no hiking for miles. Hoping to return in the winter when the trees are bare and hopefully a clear sky.

The Fish Wrangler.

Spinning fish is an unusual pastime. Usually larking about in the dark with Phill.

St.Govan's.
.
One last angle, shot using a Samyang 12mm 2.8 lens. This ended up being the last shot of the trip. Phill and I had found a great ruined castle for the fourth and final evening but after waiting for the rain to stop and the showers on and off we decided to head back to the campsite and have a few celebratory beer-wines 😜

Night Pilgrims.
.
I had visited the chapel in daylight a few weeks ago, on a trip with my wife and I shot this angle on my phone. Trying to line it up with camera and tripod was a different matter but It was a good exercise.(so was going up and down the numerous stone steps!

Chapel of the Argonauts.
.
I've been looking forward to revisiting this location for a few weeks. Phill and I turned up just after sunset and thought it was going to be a long night as the chapel is set down the bottom of the cliffs and may take us a few shots to get the lighting right but after only one test shot and a short wait for the locals to stop waving their laser pointers around and it was on. Was a good choice to bring the walkie-talkies along so we didn't have to shout directions at each other. As soon as we rolled off the first shot it looked like the scene had been modeled by Ray Harryhausen.

Prehistoric Roots.
.
The next stop on the South Wales route was this hidden burial chamber. Deep in the woods near Llanglydwen. Using two tripods, one set up in front of the tree and another a little way back from the chamber. I started by opening the shutter and lighting the base of the mossy tree then capped the lens and moved the camera to the second tripod. Phill removed the cap and I lit the chamber then closed the shutter.

Star Trekker.

The long walk to the transfer vessel gives him more time to admire the constellations in the clear night sky.

Double Tower.
.
No LP trip is complete without a hint of camera rotation. So I thought I'd start off by getting one in as soon as I could. Turned out nice.

Visiting Room
.
Paxton's Tower in Carmarthenshire was the 1st stop on a 4 day trip to Wales with Phill. The weather was fantastic and perfect for wandering around this well preserved Banqueting Tower, built in 1811.

Scattered Light.
.
Always a good night out up at the gates with Phill. Used a stencil for the squares and lit with a yellow tube, 20 seconds of back-light on Phill then used the same light for the gateway.

6 of the Best
.
Ok the title is a little sic, but it's the best I can do as just come back from a great few days in Wales with my good ol mate, Mr Fisher. This image was made on a visit to the local castle a few weeks ago but still sat on my hard drive, so before I start uploading my images from this latest adventure, I'll post the oldies. 6 way rotation and using translucent tube coloured with purple gel and Ryu's magnificent LP torch behind Phill, then using green Convoy torch, I lit the archway.
