My first prose poem "Allegheny Wolf" generously and beautifully published by PHIL LIT in their latest issue "The Shape of Dreams," Fall '26
This poem was the result of a particularly numinous dream I had (two nights in a row!) a couple months ago, and the powerful sense of belonging that arose in me from it.

My poem, Superimposed, in the Fall 2026 issue of @phillitjournal. ✨️ This poem, written in Seville years ago, edited more times than I can remember, and refined in @isabellecorreawrites 's roundtable workshop, couldn't have found a better home. This is an extra special publication because it's my first poem in print. Gratitude to the poetry readers and editors at PHIL LIT for their labor of love in putting together this dreamy issue. 💭💭💭

So grateful to the editors @phillitjournal for this gorgeous home in the fall issue. With great company—stunning Art + poems +prose. And such care taken on all fronts. ‼️🌷💯✍🏿🍭🎡

*When I was a little girl a common harrowing thing was
riding from the suburbs to downtown Chicago, with my
parents fighting in the front seat. My dad speeding.
—then the silence. “MAGIKIST” (a rug outlet) was an iconic sign in Chicago —BIG RED NEON 💋 lips towering in the sky. It was a magical salve, all time zones of self. I had just learned to tell time. My own personal TJ ECKLEBERG—feels like the symbol
of my childhood. Special one for me—grateful it’s here.

Today, my copy of PHIL LIT PARAGON, arrived in the mail, which is *beyond* exciting! It’s always surreal to see my work in print. I’m so impressed with the quality of this anthology: it’s stunning and beautifully curated and I feel truly honored to be included!

Last December on a whim, I submitted my poem “Our Love” (slides 3 and 4) to @phillitjournal’s Substack 100-word mini contest themed “Fearless & Human First.” When it won, it became my first poem ever featured as an adult!
