No phone signal on Winnats Pass. No notifications. No one needing anything from me.

Just the Integra, a dear friend with a red NSX, and the road ahead. The Peak District in the evening.

We are told choosing yourself means consuming for yourself. A feed made just for you. A wardrobe made just for you. Everything hyper personalised, instantly delivered.

Yet that version leaves you emptier than before. More curated and less generous. More comfortable and more resentful with the people you love most.

That is not choosing yourself. That is just running on empty and calling it self love.

An old Honda taught me this: you don't just jump in and rev it from cold. You warm it up. You check the oil. You do the boring maintenance when no one is watching. Not because you love the car more than the drive, but because you want to be able to drive it for years and take people with you.

It is the same with yourself. Loving yourself first is not the opposite of generosity. It is the only way it becomes real.

Christmas isn’t just about the lights, the folklore, or the gifts — it’s about the people who walk through life with us. The friends who show up, the ones who make the hard days softer and the good days brighter. 🫂

This season is a reminder to be kind, to forgive quickly, and to hold onto the connections that truly matter. I'm grateful everyday for all the lovely friends I have, all over the world. Always next to me, even when physically distant. 💛

My heart goes out today to all of those that might feel lonely, misunderstood, or unseen. Sometimes, even when surrounded by people. I'm always here for you. ❤️

Here’s to friendship, compassion, kindness, and starting the new year with an open heart. 🥂

Buon Natale!! 🎄🎁🌟
