Looking for a way to connect with the other subjects in your School? Join the Departments of Film Studies, Social Anthropology, and Philosophy, in a FREE screening of Danny Boyle’s ‘Shallow Grave’ (1994) from 6-8pm, Tuesday 14th October in School III! Boyle’s noir debut follows three flatmates in Edinburgh trying to find a fourth person to share the rent (sound familiar?); their rampantly obnoxious behaviour leads to some scathing, albeit satisfying karma… We look forward to seeing you all there! Organised by the School presidents of Philosophy, Social Anthropology and Film Studies.

The EduCom and BAME SN present the ‘Voices Unheard’ Symposium which seeks to facilitate the discussion and promotion of underrepresented groups in academia and academic research, both here in St Andrews and world-wide. We hope to provide a channel for the discussion of underrepresented groups through student-led discourse, and create a broader representation of these unheard stories. Students are invited to present their work and research centred around these underrepresented communities to their peers and academics. If you have any questions, we would be happy to answer them! Please direct any queries to bamenetwork@, and cc’ing mcp1@; or get in touch with your School President. Submissions are due by the end of January!
