On this day, 128 years ago, our founder Ossian Everett Mills held the first meeting of what would come to be known as Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia along with thirteen men at the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. Our fraternity is built upon values of men of the highest type, and the passion to advance music in America in the greatest way we can.

The Eta Beta chapter of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia at UNCP strives every year to uphold the values of our founders in everything we do, and we’re proud to help build upon such a noble lineage.

From the Hospitable Brothers of Eta Beta,
Happy Founder’s Day and Long Live Sinfonia!! ❤️🖤💛

Today, we commemorate the 128th Founder’s Day of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia! ❤️🖤💛

On October 6, 1898, Ossian Everett Mills and thirteen young men came together at the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston, united by a shared vision: to cultivate better men through the power of music and to strengthen the cause of music through the bonds of brotherhood.

For 128 years, Sinfonia has brought together men who share a deep commitment to brotherhood, music, and a desire to make a lasting impact. Through generations, these bonds have shaped lives, strengthened communities, and carried forward a legacy far greater than any one of us. Sinfonia has stood as a reminder of the true power of music and as a motivator to become better men and better servants to our communities.

May we always remain true to the principles that unite us, cherish the bonds of brotherhood, and uphold our responsibility to advance the cause of music in America.

128 years strong of Brotherhood and Tradition 🐈‍⬛

So let it be for Sinfonia!
