We came to The Bothy at North Star expecting beautiful design, great food and the hospitality that comes with a place created by Colin and Justin, the interior designers and TV personalities many of us know from HGTV’s Home Heist.

And we got all of that… but what impressed us most was seeing the two of them actually working.

Not just making an appearance. Not just stopping by for photos. They were cleaning and setting tables, seating guests, running food and jumping in wherever they were needed. They were completely hands-on and clearly invested in making sure everything was running smoothly and up to their standards. That honestly says a lot.

They were also incredibly kind, warm and welcoming and happily stopped to take some photos with us.

The design was beautiful. The food was fantastic. The service was wonderful. But watching the owners roll up their sleeves and work alongside their staff was the part we’ll remember most. ❤️

Happy 55th birthday to my person. ❤️🎈

The absolute best human I know, my favourite person to do life with. I’m so lucky to have you.

And now that you’re officially 55, I’m excited to see what kind of senior discounts you can score us. 😂

Love you more than you know. Here’s to 55 and all the adventures still to come. ❤️
