SPSEA & Phi Sigma Sigma held a book drive for National Reading Week to collect books for elementary, middle, and high school students at local Johnstown schools. Some SPSEA members and education majors, who are student teaching, took books to their student teaching classrooms. In order, Emily Reskovac took books to 1st grade at Conemaugh Township, Abigail Grosholz took books to 2nd grade at Conemaugh Township, Loren Donatelli took books to Shade Central City middle school, and Ben Cotchen and Vincent Gongloff took books to Ferndale High School. SPSEA and Phi Sigma Sigma are very thankful to have had this opportunity to work together and help students. We want to give a HUGE thank you to everyone who donated books and helped make this happen.

Thanks to Archie Messersmith-Bunting for sharing important info about brotherhood and sisterhood in our #NHPW member development event. Nearly 300 members of the Mountain Cat community learned about the impact of physical and mental hazing on mental health and leadership in our communities. Also thank you to Phi Sigma Sigma for sponsoring this successful event. @archie.cares @campuspeak

Join the Student Affairs Division and the women of Phi Sigma Sigma Fraternity for an evening with Archie! Archie is a favorite on campus and will be joining us to talk about hazing prevention in our clubs, organizations, teams, workspaces, and campus. We will discuss the physical and mental definition of hazing and how we can prevent it and serve as active bystanders. The event is free and open to all. It's #nationalhazingpreventionweek and we want to see you at the PPAC! Let's take care of each other!
