Really delicious and loads of gluten free options (as well as veggie and vegan). I keep coming back to try more and more.

Some of October so far. Good food, good company, Manchester Fashion Week Wrap Party, Portrait of Black Britain, trying pho for the first time, supporting friends and a work trip to Blackpool 🌞

Last month's @openfirediningclub saw @phocuekitchen join @therealtartuffe for a Vietnamese menu that took the format somewhere completely different - from lobster congee and a small pour of pho, to shakin’ beef and fried rice over the @biggreenegguk, whole Cumbrian chickens hung over the coals and Hanoi coffee to finish, whilst @campariofficial took care of the drinks.

Next weekend we’re on to a very special finale, closing the season with an all-star service.

On Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 September, @akin.club, @kallosmcr and Julian Pizer of @portfolio.mcr join Tartuffe for an eight-course closing menu that showcases four very different parts of Manchester’s food scene.

Tickets are still available across the weekend, but Saturday is almost sold out.

Some of my favourite eats in Manchester ❤️ (+ many more)

For Vietnamese ~ never tasted broth like @phocuekitchen ‘s & their crispy squid is also gf, always a queue so make sure to book 🤞

For Tapas ~ visit @porta_didsbury , every plate was better than the last & I’d go every week for their basque cheesecake

For sharing plates ~ @zena.restaurant is great for dips & mixed kebabs

For pub grub ~ @bullshead.mottram the entire menu is basically gf & the food is delightful (inc. yorkhire’s)

For Mexican ~ @thisismadre their baja fish tacos are a must

For pizza ~ @nellspizza Detroit style gf pizza was unbelievable alongside their pickle margs 🌶️

August was a little moody 🌫️

A lot of miles.. again, a lot of trying to keep ourselves busy, and finding small good things in between everything else life decided to throw at us.
Apparently, for someone recovering from major surgery who can eat approximately three - four bites at a time, I still managed to have a suspicious number of food moments. 😂 Priorities remain intact I guess!

Glasgow, Edinburgh, Manchester, Portsmouth, little adventures, good food, questionable weather, cute encounters and a few reasons to smile.

Not the easiest month. But there was still plenty worth remembering. 🤍

Well what an evening this was......

I never thought I'd struggle to find words for anything but watching Rupert work a full 5hr shift in a professional kitchen genuinely shut me up.

Rupert was invited to be a part of the kitchen team at the @openfirediningclub event with @phocuekitchen. It was an opportunity for him to see what it's like in a proper kitchen as he is obsessed with food and cooking and I expected him to do a few bits and then maybe sit with me as I was lucky enough to be able to eat the food. Once he was in the kitchen though he wasn't interested in coming out and he worked the full shift. He got stuck in, ate with the team and loved every single minute of it. A moment I just watched in complete awe of how comfortable he looked. Something I am so proud of and a memory I will cherish for the rest of my life.

Thank you so much to @garyweir4 and @ruby.fryman for giving him the opportunity to be a part of such an amazing event with @therealtartuffe and @mcrfinest. It completely solidified his desire and passion to cook and will be an experience he will keep with him forever.

Started the month in Bali with fresh coconuts on the beach ..

10/10 food (10/10 everything)

I’ve been in a little funk since I’ve been home but I feel like I’m finally coming out of it 💁🏼‍♀️

My routine has stayed the same just with a few tantrums thrown in 🤭

And that’s okay .. it’s all part of the process 💕
