Soccer. I’ve always said outside of the Gospel of Jesus that soccer is the universal language spoken around the world. No matter where you are or who you’re with, the beautiful game has the power to connect people from all walks of life, backgrounds, and languages. It’s not only that, but a powerful tool to open doors to share the love of Jesus.

To travel to Colombia with @phoenix.eagles and @cosdecol fulfilled a dream I’ve had to see soccer be used to glorify God and spread His love. So incredible to see this team come together as the body of Christ and use our unique gifts and talents to reflect the love we’ve received.

Grateful for every testimony we got to hear and the joy we got to see in the lives of the kids! Praise God for this opportunity and words still don’t come close to describe everything we experienced. 🇨🇴

I am so grateful that God gave me the opportunity to serve, while also experiencing the beautiful culture and way of life in Colombia. This mission trip strengthened my faith, and reminded me that the need for the Gospel reaches every corner of the world.

A big thanks to @phoenix.eagles for making this trip possible. The work God does through them is truly incredible.

Trying to put this week into words feels almost impossible.

First, I want to thank God for giving me the opportunity to serve—not only in Colombia, but in my day-to-day life. Thank you to everyone who got me there through donations and thank you @phoenix.eagles for putting all of this together and giving us the opportunity to be a part of something so much bigger than ourselves.

I came to Colombia thinking I was going to teach others about Christ and I did but God also taught me what gratitude really looks like.

I saw kids who had so little find so much joy in what they did have. I watched people come together, worship together, serve together, and put the Kingdom of God above themselves.

We played soccer. We played basketball. We laughed, competed, and made memories.

But the sports were never the point.

The point was that every kid, teen, and adult we played with heard the Gospel.

I got the opportunity to translate for my team, something that felt extremely uncomfortable at first. But through that discomfort, God stretched me, challenged me, and helped me grow in my faith.

I got to share my testimony with the men in our group, and in doing so, I was reminded that none of us are perfect. We have all struggled with sin. We have all fallen short.

And yet, God still chooses to use us.

He takes imperfect people, brings them together, and uses them to lead others to Christ—to full surrender, to freedom, and to meaningful life change. I got to witness that this week.

And honestly, I don’t think I’ll ever be able to fully explain what this week meant to me.

Colombia, this isn’t goodbye.
Just a see you later. 🇨🇴

About 100 adults joined our Adult League Tournament—and it became so much more than soccer.

From early morning setup to a word from scripture and powerful moment of prayer led by our Executive Director, Cristian, the day was filled with unity, joy, and connection.

Players from all backgrounds came together—some reconnecting, others meeting for the first time—but all were exposed to love of Jesus Christ.

From alumni teams to new groups already planning their return, it was clear: this is bigger than the game.

This is what Adult League is all about—community, encouragement, and making the name of Jesus known.
