Exactly one year into my new life in DC, and there are too many amazing memories to count.
I’ve been reflecting on my life lately, and that little, scared, closeted kid from the middle of Kansas would never believe the life he’s living now.
This year has been a complete whirlwind, and I’m so thankful for the friends I’ve made along the way. Thank you all for the late-night memories, the ratty adventures we’ve gone on together, and the conversations about life we’ve shared over great meals. I truly don’t know where I’d be without you.
One year of incredible friendships down, and a lifetime to go. ❤️

Spent all of June being gay 🤭🌈🏳️‍🌈🦄

Pride this year felt uniquely different. With so many corporate sponsors pulling back in today’s political climate, the celebration felt more grassroots—✨more authentic✨—than in years past. Honestly, I can’t help but feel this is closer to what the pioneers who first marched over 50 years ago envisioned: Pride as protest, as community, as something we build together and cherish for generations to come.
