Year 1 ✅

Warriors Strength & Conditioning has given me more than I ever could’ve expected in my first year of university. After finishing my hockey career, I wasn’t sure where I was going to put that same passion for sport, but finding S&C changed everything for me.
I’ve come to love the early mornings, the energy in the room, and the opportunity to show up every day to help athletes improve and chase something bigger. This year, I was lucky enough to work with incredible teams, including men’s and women’s volleyball, women’s hockey, and football.

To the athletes, thank you for being so welcoming and supportive, especially as a first-year still figuring everything out. You made it easy to feel like I belonged.
To my coaches, thank you for believing in me, pushing me, and helping me grow into a better coach every day.
And to my mentors, thank you for taking the time to guide me, answer my questions, and share your knowledge. Everything you’ve taught me this year has had a huge impact on my development, and I’m incredibly grateful. To the seniors moving on, thank you for the standard you set and the impact you’ve had on this program. I have no doubt you’re going to do amazing things, and I’m excited to see where life takes you.

Year one taught me a lot, but it also made me even more excited for what’s ahead.

🎊2026 Waterloo Warriors Athletic Banquet🎊

I really appreciate @wloobsb for the way you brought me into the team this year. From the start it felt like I was part of something, not just working with you in the weight room. That kind of culture doesn’t go unnoticed.

I am very proud of the work you guys put in. Now it’s time to go show it this season and win a title 🥇⚾️

Thank you to the @warriorsvarsitysc coaches that have helped me grow as a coach this year and helped me be the coach I am today. Very excited for next year to work with you all again!!! 🏋️🏋️ Year 1 ✅

Acceleration training.

Times weren’t there, my nervous system feels pretty cooked from the increased frequency of power cleans. I’m going to re-evaluate my Monday/Tuesday sessions going forward.

Nonetheless, grateful that I can get out and sprint, still had fun.

One month in—and they’re already making an impact.

Our interns took the lead on a field sprint session this week, running drills, coaching athletes, and learning through action.

At GRP, it’s not just about the reps on the turf—it’s about developing the next generation of coaches. Proud of the growth so far, and we’re just getting started.
