We are so thrilled to introduce this year’s Abbey Road Music Photography Awards finalists!

Across our eight open categories, from live festival energy to portraiture, unseen backstage perspectives and the raw edge of underground scenes, each category celebrates a different side of the music world.

With a record 24,500 images submitted this year, narrowing it down to five finalists per category was no easy feat. Thank you for participating in this year’s submissions and please join us in celebrating this year’s finalists.

Some of the most powerful images in music history are portraits. They hold more than a likeness, they capture spirit, essence and personality in a single frame.

TOKYO CAME OUT LAST NIGHT WOW!!

Our first time in Japan and it was a packed house with merch lines and great bands and DJs, and even though our jet lag was insane (see pic 11 for pre gig nap) we had the most amazing time here 💕💕💕💕💕

Thank you for the warm welcome 😭🙌🏻😭

OSAKA TONIGHT!

We had some very gloomy and wet days during this rainy season here in Tokyo.
This made me carry my “ancient“ Fujifilm S2 Pro a lot lately, and every time I use it I’m reminded that I don’t need the latest camera to enjoy photography.
Wandering through the city, looking for shapes, light, and quiet moments in architecture just feels right with this old CCD camera. The files may only be 6 megapixels, but in black and white they have a character that keeps pulling me back.

Shot on my Fujifilm S2 pro with the Nikkor 24mm f1.4 G lens.
