Our bodies, our sound, is original technology. When we sound together we amplify the field of healing and possibilities for each other / with each other. I have the honor of collaborating with @majeadams to make a participatory Sound gathering - we make and magnify the vibration we need - together. Come curious, come willing to gently explore the sound your body is longing to express and to receive. Next Wednesday, October 28th 7-9pm at the Pillsbury Creative Commons. 3529 Chicago Avenue South. Bring water and a pillow/blanket/yoga mat. Come willing to join your vibration with others.

Hey Detroit! We are building a movement for Theatre for Public Good and we are not alone.

A coalition of theatres from across the country just joined forces in Boston:
» Cleveland Public Theatre, Ohio @cptcle
» Company One Theatre, Massachusetts @companyoneboston
» Crowded Fire Theater, California @crowdedfire
» A Host of People, Michigan @ahostofpeople
» Junebug Productions, Louisiana @junebugnola
» Mixed Blood Theatre, Minnesota @mixedbloodtheatre
» Mosaic Theater Company, Washington DC @mosaictheaterdc
» Out of Hand, Georgia @outofhandatl
» Perseverance Theatre, Alaska @perseverancetheatre
» Pillsbury House + Theatre, Minnesota @phousetheatre
» Pink Fang, New York @pinkfangnyc

What is a Theatre for Public Good? A Theatre for Public Good uses its space, craft, and convening power to strengthen community health and inspire community action towards building a more equitable democracy.

We’re committed to . . .
» practicing equity as structure
» building real power with the people we serve
» treating culture as a right, not a privilege
» leveraging artistic excellence toward a greater good, beyond the stage
» managing its finances as public infrastructure
» measuring community impact that matters

Theatre for Public Good started in March 2024, when 5 values-aligned, multi-racial theatres (Cleveland Public, Company One, Crowded Fire, Mosaic, and Perseverance) formed a cohort around a shared question: as social justice theatres, what can we do together that we cannot do alone?

After two years of convening and a framework presented at the TCG National Conference in June 2026, 11 theatres met in Boston this September to begin launching a national movement.

What does Theatre for Public Good mean to you? Let us know in the comments below!
