Dutch Design Week. Here is my top five from @designacademyeindhoven, although lots more coverage in our report. Less concepts more craft this year, loved @adel.toth’s tailored lights, @omer.baruchi customisable door components, @studio_diters architectural research and mesh wire reconstruction, @rupertjasper hand deformed water pitchers and @phozoho @sadcats_999 sad happy cats. #ddw #designacademy #dae #dutchdesignweek2025

HOLD ME is now live and kickin with @strangers.touch at @crane.official ☄️🖐🏻! These pieces will be on sale till the end of this month. If you are passing through Arab Street, do check out the little nest we've set up at the top of Crane! 🥚 This is my second time casting shapes out of a wet medium. The first time was back in 2015, with wax. I've come to find the process very poetic; the ebb and flow of something from fluid to solid. As well as catalysing something from a powder into paste. Our characters and narrative arcs are not too different, whether hardened to change or adaptive to it. For Stranger's Touch, I visualised and fabricated these forms which can also assume function in your homes. I hope you find that they Hold Space well, just as I have felt people (albeit strangers) often do the same for me as well ❤️‍🔥

Concept pop-up store, @strangers.touch will be alive and tangible at @crane.official from tmr (18th March!) till the end of this month! 🖐🏻👛🫀 Stranger('s) Touch is the brain child of @iisdannychong and @pixieinspace 🧠 Featuring soaps by Dan himself, ceramic cups by @tricialim.jpg, and lumpy holders by myself! 🧼🍵🪨 Shout out especially to @chongng for capturing the objects so beautifully & aptly *･゜ﾟ･*:.｡. 📸 The pop-up will also feature custom furnitures by @pixieinspace and I!!! 🐒 🪑 If you have the time, do swing by! 🤍 I'm really really thankful for the trust AND thrust into exploring object and homeware making. It's something that I've been wanting to foray into for a long time. The pieces you'll soon see more of (homewares + furnitures) are the result of many late nights, frustrations & ultimately grit! Excited to share this, and only more to come! 👉🏻👇🏻🖐🏻👉🏻👆🏻👋🏻👉🏻 STRANGER('S) TOUCH POP-UP LOCATION Crane 148 Arab Street (199831) Level 3 OPENING DAY LAUNCH 18 March (Friday) 3pm-10pm POP-UP DURATION 19-30 March Weekdays 11am-5pm Weekends 11am-6pm ACCOMPANYING PERFORMANCES slipslidehold! by @kyatos & @chewshawen 27 March (Sunday) 1pm, 3pm, 5pm *･゜ﾟ･*:.｡..｡.:*･･*:.｡. .｡.:*･゜ﾟ･* More on strangers-touch.com
