Shelter Dana 11th February is sponsored by @phusathi , @sisu_1988 & @paninikhemiya

“In loving memory of our dear Duke, who would have turned 13 today, and Earl, who would have turned 12 on the 30th of January.

A message from our family- “We miss you every day, home is not the same without you both. We hope you’ve found each other and are catching up on the two years you couldn’t spend together.””#

Thank you for feeding our shelter furry residents — we are truly grateful for your continued support and kindness.

“Born from Shiva's third eye.
Fulfilling dreams.
Bells ringing.
Beams and rays of light shining through.
A golden flame like deity
dark, powerful and fertile.
Awe in beauty.
She grants wishes they said.
She grants forgiveness, they said.”

Yesterday Colomboscope hosted a trilingual workshop with UK based Zimbabwean spoken word artist, poet and educator Belinda Zhawi @ma.moyo

She is also the co-founder of literary arts platform BORN::FREE, one of London’s leading platforms for experimental African and Afro-diasporic poetry and new writing.

Zhawi led the workshop participants on a writing journey exploring the personal poetics of language, memory and ancestry, drawing from broader themes in her own writing.

Supported by EUNIC and the British Council.
