It costs absolutely NOTHING to say thank you!

Oftentimes, you are blocking your own blessings because of your ego, pride, and hubris.

When someone does something kind for you, understand that they didn’t owe you that kindness. They didn’t have to think of you, mention your name, open a door, send a referral or extend an opportunity.

But they DID!

Saying thank you doesn’t diminish your accomplishments.

It doesn’t take away from your hard work or anything you’ve achieved on your own. It simply acknowledges that someone thought enough of you to do something they absolutely did not have to do.

Gratitude is not a sign of weakness.

It’s a reflection of character.

Learn to get out of your own way!

A little humility and a simple THANK YOU can go a long way.

Over 600 people gathered at Paseo Colorado in Pasadena for the final Jazzy Jam for Empowerment concert, featuring incredible tributes to Prince and Michael Jackson. Hosted by the amazing Kym Whitley... who loved it so much she promised to return next year!

FIRST FRUIT is headed to USC. 🌱

We’re honored that First Fruit has been selected for the inaugural Nollywood in Hollywood Short Film Showcase, taking place at the USC School of Cinematic Arts.

There is something especially meaningful about being included in a program built around the idea of Stories Without Borders. I believe deeply in telling stories are rooted in truth and recognizes the capacity to feel, connect, love, grieve, heal and care for one another has no borders.

I’m grateful to Nollywood in Hollywood & USC for creating this space and I’m especially looking forward to the conversation following the screening. As I’ve traveled with First Fruit, some of the most meaningful moments have come from hearing what audiences saw, felt and discovered in the film.
